Unsure how much they heard, Xin Lisa had no idea what to do. Jungkook reached for her and said, “Why aren’t you coming over?” Xin Siyue walked over at a normal pace.

Every step she walked, she wanted to cry out in her heart: they must’ve heard it! 

Why else was everyone laughing at her?!

Seeing how she walked in nervously like a shy wife, Jungkook teased, “Weren’t you quite bold in claiming your possession over me by the door?”

Xin Siyue stared at him in shock ash she looked at his smiling eyes.

Of course! Of course! 

“Shut up!” Xin Lisa didn’t think and ordered him. 

Seeing how embarrassed she was, Jungkook laughed and said, “It won’t help even if I shut up. After all, everyone has heard already.” He continued to say, “I have so many witnesses here. You can’t escape this time.”

Xin Lisa mumbled. “Who said that I was going to escape?”

Hearing how she admitted to him, Jungkook was so happy that he wanted to bring her in his arms. But seeing how many people were in the way and present, he held back the urge. 

Old Man Jeon said in an unfriendly tone, “Since you’re ok, stay like that.”

Jungkook was in a good mood and was too lazy to argue. “Old man, I didn’t even give you a grandson yet. How could I let anything happen to me?” When he finished, he especially asked Xin Lisa, “Right?”

Xin Lisa secretly rolled her eyes. What do you mean by right?!

Jeon Taehyung and Weng Jennie looked at each other, not having any opinions.

When Xin Lisa brought the three elders out in place of Jungkook, she bowed at them. She said apologetically, “Grandfather Jeon, Aunt, and Uncle, sorry!”

The three gave each other a look. Then Weng Jennie said, “As parents, we will naturally be concerned with our child being injured, but we also know his personality. He will do everything he can to get what he wants, and he won’t let someone he treasures be hurt in any way at all. You two have experienced a lot. We are happy that you two are able to be together now. Regarding this matter, let time do its magic. You don’t need to blame yourself too much.”

Xin Lisa felt her throat choking up with emotions. In the end, she could only thank them, “Thank you! Thank you!”

Jungkook noticed that she was feeling kind of down upon returning. Just when he was about to ask her about it, he heard Zhuang Zu say, “Sister-in-law, you’re really my idol!”

“What? Who is this?” Xin Lisa looked at Jungkook. Before he could respond, Zhuang Zhu responded, “Sister-in-law, I’m Zhuang Zhu! Kook-ah’s best friend!”

“Hello.” Xin Lisa nodded and greeted.

Zhuang Zhu wanted to say something else when Jungkook wanted to drive him out. “Can you stop saying nonsense?”

Zhuang Zhu then realized that Jungkook was referring to him.

Mao Mingyu smiled and placed his hand on Zhuang Zhu’s shoulders. “Let’s go quickly! Being lightbulbs, we are too bright and eye-catching, thus getting in the way of President Jeon!”

It was rare for Zhuang Zhu to have the chance to see Xin Lisa. He didn’t even get to tease them so how could he bear to leave? In the end, Mao Mingyu and Jimin had to combine their strengths in order to take Zhuang Zhu out of the room. The others who Xin Lisa didn’t know left as well.

There were only Jungkook and Xin Lisa in the vast room now. 

Xin Lisa slightly shifted her gaze, not daring to look straight at him.

Jungkook smiled and observed her for a while. Then he gradually spoke, “Come over and let me hug you.”

Xin Lisa turned around and looked at him. Then she quickened her pace and threw herself in his arms. She was worried that it might hurt the wound on his back so she tightly wrapped her arms around his neck.

Jungkook embraced her and buried his head in her shoulders, taking in her faint fragrance. He smiled and said, “After suffering numerous hardships, I finally have you!”
