Chapter 7: The dissapearance of Xiao Zhe

Suddenly, a meow woke him up from his constant drooling for money.
It actually seemed to be coming from his bag.

'Wait... what was that? That cat couldn't have followed me here right-'

His thoughts were interrupted by the sound of his Xiao Zhe screeching and whimpering. He unzipped his bag, and to his surprise, Xiao Zhe was indeed inside the bag!

The cat looked at Simon with a terrified and pitiable expression, making people who were watching him would fall in heels with him.

"Silly, why did you follow me here?" Simon petted him.

Zhang Zhehan's pov:

"Silly, why did you follow me here?" Simon stroked his chin softly.

'I'm afraid of losing you, dummy' Xiao Zhe thought.

Although, to be honest, he is a little worried about his little sister; also his private assistant, Madelline. The cat skin usually peels off a week later after he got wet in the rain.

But, he doesn't want to leave his new "owner" though...

They have developed a strong bond and relationship for each other in the past few days, he also didn't want to make Simon upset for his sudden dissapearance.

Then, out of nowhere, he suddenly remembered something; he was also invited to the actors gathering party!

He could meet him there and probably explain to him that he was the cat he took care of last week.

Eventhough there would be a 100% percent chance that Simon wouldn't believe what he said. Plus, he also thinks that Simon had a grudge on him because he technically "stole" his act as the main character in the new upcoming romance drama.

All he could do now is just hope for the best and wait.

A week had passed by, it was now the official day of the actors gathering party. Simon got dressed in a fancy white suit and black leather long pants. He smiled to himself at the mirror while adjusting his bowtie for what seemed like a hundred of times already, 'God, i'm kind of nervous...'

But he ignored the feeling of his stomach churning and went to find Xiao Zhe instead. Its really weird, its been a whole hour and he still hasn't seen a single fur of his.

Having a bad feeling, he searched for Xiao Zhe everywhere; the bathroom, under the couch and under the bed, the box he tried to hide in last time; but he found absolutely nothing.

The door and windows were also locked, Xiao Zhe can't possibly teleport or something right? He's just a normal cat afterall...

Suddenly, he heard someone knocking on his door, "Simon? Hello, are you there?"

Simon opened his door and said to Sam with a panicked face, "The cat... Xiao Zhe is gone!"

"Wait what, since when do you have a cat, Simon? I thought you hated cats..." Sam replied dumbly.

This is the first time that Sam has ever saw Simon with such a concerned and panicked look on his face. What kind of cat or whatever creature could hurt his friend's feelings like this?

Sam checked his watch and pointed at it. "But... you are running late for the party though..."

Simon didn't say anything and kept running to one room after another to search for his precious liddul Xiao Zhe.

"Simon..."

Finally, Sam took the courage to snap Simon out of it. "BRO, THIS IS A ONCE-IN-A-LIFETIME OPPORTUNITY, REMEMBER?!"

"I don't care about anything else, i just want to find him!!" Simon shot back.

"LISTEN!" Sam placed his hand on his friend's shoulder and comforted him. "We can find the cat later after going home from the party. Who knows, you might run into him there..."

Finally, Simon calmed down a little bit and began to breathe normally.

Actually, Sam does feel bad for the poor guy. As he had said before, he never saw Simon; the usual cold and expressionless guy, becoming like this.

They both got into the car and the driver drove them to the convention centre.

While the driver was driving them there, Simon didn't talk or have a small chat with Sam at all. It was dread silence in the car.

  He couldn't help but wonder, 'Where did Xiao Zhe go?'
