Ten years later

Jungkook had just turned 15. His father said that he had a surprise for him, so he waited in the garden for his father to come and get him when the surprise was ready.

"Kookie!" His father called from the back porch. "The surprise is ready!" Kookie smiled, walking to the porch. "The surprise is in the dining room, let's go." Jungkook only nodded cutely, a smile on his face.

When they walked into the living room, Jungkook saw a beautiful woman. She was a beta, he could tell by her scent(he had a sensitive nose). The two children were betas as well, one a boy and the other a girl. They all wore smiles on their faces and were all beautiful.

The mother had light brown hair that was tucked into a fancy bun. She wore lots of makeup that wasn't needed because Kook could tell, she was beautiful without it. She had on an expensive looking dress and accessories.

The boy was taller and more muscular than Jungkook. He had a strong looking jaw and light brown hair like his mother. His eyes and brows were sharp and piercing. He also wore expensive clothing, shoes shiny and not a speck of dust anywhere.

The girl was just barley taller than Jungkook, only an inch or two so. Unlike her mother and, assumed, brother, she had dark, long flowing hair reaching the middle of her back. She wore a bright colored dress and not many accessories, but she was still just as pretty as her mother.

Jungkook looked to his father, confused about the sudden guests. We're they part of the surprise?

"Jungkook, this is Han Dong-hwa and her two kids, Dae-hyun and Ji-won(random names)." Jungkook's father introduced. Jungkook bowed muttering a shy 'nice to meet you.'

Dong-hwa gushed, "Oh, you must be little Jungkookie! You're fathers told me so much about you! That you love the garden and pretty accessories! I'm sure you kids will get along great!" She gave her kids a look. They bowed respectfully, nodding and agreeing with their mother.

"Y-yes, and your accessories are beautiful." He complemented. Dong-hwa just scoffed, muttering an 'of course they are,' under her breath, Ji-won actually thanked him while Dae-hyun just watched.

"Jungkook," his father spoke, "this is the surprise." Jungkook tilted his head cutely, not understanding. "I'm going to marry Dong-hwa and they'll become our new family. They'll move in and we'll happy, and you'll have the mother you need." Jungkook was shocked but happy his father could find love again.

"This is amazing!" He hugged his father tightly.

If only he knew of what was yet to come...

Two years after his father and Dong-hwa got married, his father had to travel far for a business trip.

"I want a cool blade as a souvenir!" Dae-hyun yelled excitedly.

"I want a new necklace!" Ji-won yelled right after.

Their father nodded turning to his wife. "Anything for you?"

"Some new shoes would be nice." She answered, giving him a peck on the cheek as a goodbye.

He finally turned to his son, who had tears gathered in his eyes. "You, my baby Kookie?" Jungkook ran and hugged his father. He always hated when he had to leave for business, he'd miss and worry for him greatly.

The father hugged his son tightly, always hating these goodbyes. He wiped his son's face, asking once more, "would you like anything when I return?"

"A rose." Jungkook sniffled. "A rose from a bush you pass on the way back."

"Of course, my Kookie." He hugged his son once again. He let go and waved one last time, getting on his carriage. "Goodbye my loves!"
The family waved, yelling 'don't forget!'

Jungkook waved as well, wishing for something different. "Please come back safely."

A few weeks later, and he and his step family were told the news that their father had passed on due to sickness. The deliverer of the news said that Jungkook's father wanted him to give Jungkook the rose he pulled from behind him. They mourned.

But none mourned like Jungkook.

After a few days without Jungkook's father, his step-family became harsh with him. Stealing things from his room, claiming it as theirs. Eventually, his step-mother kicked him into the attic, the only 'bed' he got was a blanket on the floor. They made him cook and clean, never letting him rest or even eat with them like he used to. He didn't know what happened to them, but he didn't complain. After all, like they said, he's just a weak omega that has to follow orders.

Eventually, their words became even harsher, slurs such as slut and bitch becoming normal vocabulary.

But it became much worse.
