38. Too Late

"I like you." he said

at the time I wasn't sure

I continued to come to terms

with my feelings for so long

and avoided them

by convincing myself

I liked someone else

but, now, as I watch you

hold another's hand

I've realized I have made a huge

mistake in being too late
