I don't talk to my mom much

I don't tell her everything

like those other people do

she isn't my best friend

when she should be

I don't tell her stupid

random jokes hoping she'd laugh

and not give me a life lesson

I don't tell her about my crushes

because all she does is push it on me

she's just my mom

nothing more

nothing less
