I really suggest rereading the first part! If you read the original where the plot was that y/n didn't really know Audrey, this part would make more sense if you reread that one.
✨✨
When you're from the same neighbourhood and go through some what the same experiences, that gives you reason to form a bond, whether this bond lasts or not is according to what you based it on in the first place. Trey, Chris, Y/n and Audrey have all known each other since they were four, while Audrey was two, though they went through almost everything together it didn't mean that later, life would split up the paths they took, some went off so slightly that you couldn't see the difference and then you have the case of Audrey going to live with her mother and stepfather to finish middle school, attend high school, and later, college.
With the youngest gone by the time everyone else was already fourteen, that made way for Nia to join the friend group as the fourth person, at least until Audrey came back, she'd then be fifth. Nia fit well because she shared most of the same classes as the others and were actually the same age, therefore where they would have to PG some their activities and conversations with Audrey, they didn't have to with Nia. Nia fit right in, up until recently, but now, we're talking about the road that brought them all here.
Y/n was always known as the intense group ambivert, when she was feeling introverted, she was a major home body, always at home alone, wanting to be at one with the music that blasted through her speakers, but when she was out, she was out full stop. Whether it be she was in her regular everyday " drip",as she liked to refer to her day to day outfits, her collection of turtle necked outfits that fully gave in to her stem aesthetic or the side of her closet that she rarely tapped into when styling her wardrobe, her dresses and skirts. Anybody in her close family and her friend group would tell you that to see y/n in that sort of attire was a miracle. As much as she loved it when she had it on, she loved it better off. Her accessories normally, if not always, consisted of her silver, diamond studded, butterfly necklace and other charmed necklaces and chains that adorned her neck, the rings that adorned her fingers really added everything there was to her aesthetic and it really didn't help the stereotypes that she was into crystals and minimalistic decor.
Growing up however, she was expected to be a girly girl in the full sense of the word, not to the extent of wanting her nails and hair done all the time and wanting to wear crop tops and shorts and bikinis, God no. Not in her father's house, no ma'am. Crystals and horoscopes? The devil's playground, Sexuality? Hah! You really thought she was allowed to even think about boys? She was so relieved that by the time her parents figured out her sexuality, she was out of the house, because... If she had to live in that house and get the constant lectures and prayers about who she found attractive, she would do like Lil Nas X and take herself straight to hell.
Pastor y/l/n, the most respected pastor in the neighbourhood, known for his work, through God in the Ministry of the Gospel as he put it. More recently, he has been known for his family matters. As the pastor who has a daughter who had successfully completed Law School and was already engaged by the time she got out of college, it was only expected that his second daughter, y/n was as pure as her sister was claimed to be. Alas, much to the her family and the church's disappointment, she was " ....that" as they liked to put it. The preaching of the perishing of Sodom and Gomorrah she was thought as a child constantly rang through her ears every time she had to go to that side of the neighbourhood. She found herself overly cross dressing every time she went over there just to piss them off, it was hilarious to her.
The one time she had purpose to wear a dress in their presence, they praised God as if, magically, "This demonic, rebellious phase of her life" was passed, she remembers with a smile how much she, Chris, and Trey laughed when they learnt why a worship session broke out.
Chris was always Y/n's partner in crime, since the day they met when Chris came to church with his family, they were inseparable. In later years her father started disapproving of their relationship and began questioning y/n on whether she was sure that her relationship with Chris was strictly platonic and y/n laughed every time she said yes because, if he only knew.
Christopher Antonio Thompson Jr., Chris as everyone called him, the lanky kid down the block that nobody wanted till his glow up in the second year of high school. The last son of "Big C", who in his younger days had the same fame with females his three sons experienced, it was safe to say 'he got it from his daddy'.Chris had two siblings, two older brothers, Carter and Cailan, all three of them being given names beginning with the letter 'c' in recognition of their father. With Chris it was always him just wanting to always be the apple of his father's eye, without even knowing himself that that's what it was.
