Time Changes Most Things

The leaves change color in the fall.
The years pass by like a football.
The city has sprung up a spring flower.
These nights are a-glow because of the towers.

Time has passed since our first meeting.
I can still hear our synced hearts beating.
My love for you has not changed,
although that may seem strange.

The soothing sound of the swaying trees sings you to sleep
All the promises I made to you; I shall keep.
My logic to you may seem flawed.
But the sight of you and I together leaves me awed.

The years have stolen our youth.
But you are still as beautiful; that's the truth.
This love I feel is chronic,
although the way I express it is comic.

Our time that is shared to me is beneficial.
Our love can be seen as celestial.
Time may change most things,
but I can't wait for the future this love brings.
