In the Dark

In the dark, it is quiet.
I can think peacefully.
At least, I hope its peaceful.
I never know what will go through my mind when I'm in the dark.

In the dark, it is lonesome.
At least, I hope I'm alone.
This is the only chance I get to be.
Sorry shadow person,
please don't ruin that.

In the dark, I find peace.
I can be myself and not have to worry.
I can think freely. I can speak freely.
I can be free.

If I wanted to eat, I could eat without getting laughed at.
If I wanted to drink something, I can drink it without worry of who's watching.

In the dark, I feel free.
In the dark, I feel like me.
