Steven Universe, The Cartoon! [Long Read :3]

DAMN I SOUND LIKE A SOPHISTICATED DUCK, HELL.

Matryo's a derp to the core. This isn't a rant, just a suggestion if you guys enjoy watching shit as much as me :33<

To the core, I absolutely adore watching visuals and animations! I think they're just so pretty and the characters are pretty wacky.

There's Anime, and there's cartoons. If you watch both, you can totally differentiate the two from one another, yet jot down the similarities.

I won't touch the subject of Anime 'cause you can just find someone's Anime blog on Tumblr and...yeh.

But this month, I fell in love with a Cartoon called Steven Universe!

The last cartoon I ever fell for is Adventure Time and that was when shit didn't go down and it was still Flame Princess x Finn. The kiss, you know? Not all the mushroom war arcs.

Steven Universe is a cartoon by Miss Rebecca Sugar who some of you may recognize from AT, if my shit's correct. It's like some of your Earthly minerals turned into some aliens and, LET ME TELL YOU IT'S A REALLY GOOD SHOW.

It's not as giddy and carefree as a lot of Cartoons and it's remarkably deep! Season 1 and 2episodes into Season 2 and I SWEAR I FEEL LIKE CRYING BECAUSE IT'S REALLY GOOD.

Here are some really good notes about the series that I've singled out :3

*I absolutely adore Amethyst's voice! It's just so rouge and carefree at the same time and Miss Deitz really attains all those rough and quirky sound effects of Amethyst really nicely and smoothly! :3

"BIGGER! BETTER! Ughuhuhuhuhuhuh!"

♦️ Peridot's voice is one of the voice and I feel like she's GLaDOS (From Portal 2). She's not like GLaDOS. She is GLaDOS. Also, she's a Green Dorito.

"Has Steven replaced Humans as the dominant species on Earth?"

"I'm REPORTING THIS!"

🔹 Pearl is graceful as fuck. Holy shit she's elegant as hell. Also, I loved it when she sang 'Strong in the Real Way'

"I watch you sleep sometimes, and by sometimes, I mean often."

"Sometimes, I wonder if she could see me through your eyes...I wonder what she would think of me now?"

⚫️ Garnet's a Fusion!!! Garnet's such a great character that's so fluffy and stoic at the same time! I think that's a mix of Ruby and Sapphire's personalities!! SHUT DOWN BY THE G-SQUAD!!!

"Garnet Wins."

"Tiny Hands, my only weakness."

"Hoppy- I mean- Hopper, No!"

🔷 Oh almighty Lapis Lazuli. Goddess of the Ocean. She's one of the characters that I really liked even though she got 2 episodes all to herself (as an Antagonist)

"You three knew I was in there, and you didn't do anything! Did you even bother to know who I used to be?!"

"Don't trust them, Steven."

🔶 Steven undergoes severe character development; started as a really happy-go-lucky Protagonist and slowly, he realized how dangerous and complicated Gems are and how limited his knowledge about them is. Even through everything he's been through, he tries to stay positive because he knows that he reminds Pearl, Garnet and Amethyst about Rose a lot and he wants to help. Just trying to summarize Steven's personality (Everyone in this series really) so I suggest you really watch the series to understand!

So, yeah, this is just a couple of things I love about SU, but if you want, you can watch! I hope to see you in the pits of hell that is the Fandom.
