It was morning. As usual, Rani was the first one to wake up. Rani tried to get up but had to lay back on feeling a tug. She looked towards her right.
Veer was sleeping soundly, hugging her.
Rani snuggled closer to him and ran her fingers through his hair.
Suddenly realisation struck her and she sat up on the bed quickly.
How did she end up in his arms?
When did he come to the room?
When did the night pass away?
All this questions started to race in her mind.
By that time Veer was also awake.
Veer: (rubbing his eyes) Good morning Rani..
Rani: dactor saab... uthiye na...
Veer: kya hua Rani...
He sat up on the bed holding the blanket till his chin.
Rani: dactor saab hum eeha kaise aaye? Hum to ee bistar pe baithe thhe or aapka intejaar Kar rahe thhe...(holding her head agin) oo ke baad humko kachu Yaad Naahi araha--
Veer pulled out his hands from under the blanket exposing his bare shoulders.
Veer: (putting down her hands) dimaag pe zyada zor mat daliye...mai batata hoo---
Veer's words died in his mouth as Rani spoke in between.
Rani: (looking away) kapde knaha hai Aapke dactor saab?🙀
Veer: (covering himself again) Shirt phaad di Aapne, or mujhse Puch rahi hai ki kapde knaha hai?🙄
Rani: kaa matlab? Hum kaahe aapka sharat phadenge?😲
Veer: aapko Kuch bhi Yaad Nahi? Kuch bhi nhi!?
Rani: aap phirse suspense kaahe bana rahe hai? Seedhe seedhe batiyaiye na...
Veer: ab kya batau Rani...kal Jo aapne Kiya...
Rani: kaa Kiya humne?😟
Veer: aap khud hi dekhlijiye...
Veer: (removing the blanket) ye saare nishaan hi bata rahi hai aapne kya Kiya hai...
He pointed towards the lipstick marks and scratches all over his body.
Rani's eyes were bulging out and her lips formed an 'O'. She shrieked and covered her eyes.
Rani: ee sab kaa kiya hai aapne?
Veer: Maine Kuch Nahi Kiya.
Rani: to kaam humne Kia? Aapne hi Kiya hai ee sab!
Veer: Mai kya pagal hoo jo khud ye nishaan banaunga? Ye sab Aapne Kiya hai...
Rani: kaa bol rahe hai? Humne?😨
Veer: sau takka Aapne Kiya hai...ye dekhiye...Aapke nakhuno ke nishan...nocha hai Aapne mujhe.
Rani: hum Billi hai kaa Jo aapko nochenge?🤪
Veer: Billi ki Tarah hi nocha aapne🙄.....aur ye hothon ke nishaan, inke baare Mai kya khayal hai? Ye to aap hi Ke hai na!
Rani opened her eyes and looked at those marks.
They were not self made evidently. Does it mean,
she really did that to him?
Rani: Dactor saab, ee sab sachme humne Kiya hai?
Veer: wahi to keh Raha hoon main...ye sab meri pyaari biwi ne yaani ki Aapne Kiya hai!
Rani: par humko kachu bhi Yaad Naahi hai! Ee sab kab or kaise hua?😥
Veer: kal aapko Nandini ne Kuch pilaya thha?
Rani: haa...juice pilaya thha Nandini Didi ne...
Veer: uss juice mai unhone Kuch milaya thha... isiliye aapko nasha hogaya thha...
