Nolan's P.O.V.
"Hayley open the door, I know she's in there." I say tiredly sitting against her front door, "Hayley." I have been sitting out here in the freezing cold for almost an hour now as she refused to open the door for me.
"Fuck off Nolan." She snapped, "She doesn't want to see you."
"I just need to explain-"
"Should have thought about it when you kept such a big thing from her." Hayley interrupted, "Go home Nolan,"
Rolling my eyes I stretched out my back, and this was starting to get on my nerves, "My home is with her," My home was with Melody, with her, it was just another responsibility. "Open the door."
"Hayley," I heard her voice whisper, "Let him in, it's cold outside. He'll get cold."
"Remy," Hayley said stubbornly,
"Let him in." She said quietly, her voice sounding so coarse, that she probably cried the whole time I was looking for him. Hayley sighed unlocking the door, she slightly opened it a crack as I quickly got up brushing my suit off.
"Move," I said, Hayley, rolled her eyes giving me room to come inside, "Remy." I let out a sigh I moved to pull her in my arms but she moved away.
Hayley went upstairs leaving us both downstairs in the living room, Remy sat down on the couch, "When were you going to tell me, Nolan?"
Licking my lips I kneeled down in front of her looking up at her, "Remy, I didn't want to hurt you. I was planning to have our wedding vows renewed, and we would resign the marriage certificate, we would be married again. Everything would have gone so smoothly but mom-"
"So you were never going to tell me?" She asked raising her eyebrow, "What happened to no lies, Nolan." Everything about this marriage from my side was a lie, I had broken that promise long ago.
"I was trying to protect you, Remy." I tried to reason with her,
"I don't want this kind of protection that going to keep me in the dark, if you had told me it wouldnt have hurt as bad, but I found out from Noelle. She hates me, and she enjoyed the way that I felt." Remy sighed, looking down at her hands as she began to play with her wedding ring.
"I know." I admit, "I know, we fought after you had run off, I swear Remy, she won't hurt you anymore."
"She isnt the one hurting me," She fought, "Nolan, I want to know what the hell is going on."
"What?" I asked confused, "Remy, I told you we were going to renew everything in our marriage on our anniversary...she was the one-"
"Nolan." Remy said firmly wiping her tears away, "Where were you when we had to go to dinner at my parent's house."
"Not this again Remy."
"I need to know!" She snapped, "I need to know because your behavior has been driving me crazy Nolan."
"Remy,"
"What Remy?!" Remy said exasperated, "What Remy! Do not try to turn this around and say that I am going crazy because this is not about me Nolan, this is about you and our relationship. What has suddenly changed huh? Is it because of this clause? Is this what has been eating away at you or is it something else?"
I took a step towards her to calm her but she shook her head backing away, "Stop, we need to talk Nolan."
"What do you want me to say, Remy?" She looked at me as if I had gone crazy, I couldn't tell her the truth, I couldn't tell her that I have someone else in my life.
