I was still in shock when Lisa got back to her seat beside me. From my peripheral view, I know she's staring at me while I am still holding the flowers.
"Hey Baby? Are you still mad? I thought we're already good." She asked, worry and sadness is obvious in her voice. "Trust me Baby, I just want to protect you back there." She explained and put her hand on mine. "If it would make you feel better, I'll apologize to Mr. Kim right now just so you'd forgive me." She said as she tried to caress my hands.
"Why didn't you tell me it was you?!" I half-shouted as I face her.
"Told you what?"
"That you're L. Brüschweiler, MY DATE! "
"Oh." Was all that came out from her mouth. She scratch her nape and gave me an apologetic smile.
"That's it? OH?" I said as I was raising my brow and eyeing her.
"I'd explained everything later. Right now, would you like to join me while waiting for the program to start? Let's go around, I'll introduce you to everyone." She offered her hand but neither did I talk nor move, I just stared at her. "Please?" She said then she pouted and gave me those pleading eyes. Uuuugh! Who the hell am I not to give in?! Such a cutie!
I stood up and put down the flowers then held her hand. I heard her say, "perfect" excitedly as we excused ourselves from Rosé and Jisoo who are obviously having their own world.
We started to the table right next to ours where her secretary is sitting with four other unfamiliar faces. They all stood and bowed to me when we reach their table. I did the same but Lisa didn't.
"Is she the unfortunate one?" the guy asked Lisa which made them chuckle. Lisa rolled her eyes and answered. "Yah! You're embarrassing me." then nudged the guy playfully. She cleared her throat.
"Everyone, I'd like you to met my wife, Mrs. Jennie Kim Manoban." Lisa said seriously with made me froze. What the did she just say? All of them eyed me and smiled widely then bowed at me and said in unison, "It's nice to finally meet you Mrs. Manoban."
"Mrs. Manoban" I whispered. When I finally realized everything, I suddenly felt my face burning so I tried to cover it with both of my hands which made them giggle. It must've been rude but I turned around and buried my face into Lisa's chest while pinching her sides.
