Chapter 12: First Round

Lisa and Jennie stood from their seats and went out to see the director followed by their fuming managers.

"Are you guys ready?"

"Yes, Director." The couple answered in unison.

"Okay, so before we film today, the staff told me that they need to take a picture of you both."

They nodded and was guided by the staff to a single sofa surrounded by a lot of stuffed toys. Lisa let Jennie sit first and she settled on the arm of the sofa. At first, the couple was feeling awkward. It was shown by the space between them and the way they are smiling. 

"Hey, Lisa! Are you just going to sit like a statue there? Put your hands on her shoulder like what you do when you are with your girlfriends before." the director shouted.

"But I never had a girlfriend." Lisa said just a little louder than a whisper then started to fidget with her hands and lowered her head. Jisoo burst into laughter and Rosé glared at her. Jennie find it cute tho.

"Hey." Jennie said calmly and put her hands on top of Lisa's which stopped Jisoo from laughing. "Just relax, okay? Where's the confident Lisa I meet few moments ago."

Lisa looked at Jennie. "I-I was just-" She was cut off when Jennie stood in front of her and lean towards her ear making Jisoo and Rosé uncomfortable.

"You don't have to worry. I won't kick your balls again if you touch me." then she pulled away and went back to her position.

Lisa stared at her in disbelief and hint of amusement. Jennie smiled back with gummy smile.

"Are you ready?" Jennie asked and Lisa nodded. Jennie notice that Lisa is now back on track so moved a little and leaned towards Lisa. Lisa comfortably put her head on Jennie's and smiled brightly. The shot was so pure. They looked so cute and so over-flowing with chemistry. They were asked to strike some more poses and the photographer took as much as he could.

Five minutes later, the director shouted, "Okay! Let's do this! Just act like a normal dating couple."

Both nodded and started filming the show. As agreed on the briefing, Jennie acted as the host of the show and welcomed the viewers. Then she introduced Lisa as her girlfriend and was surprised when she saw Lisa holding a bouquet of pink roses.

So that was what she forgot to buy. Rosè thought and her hands were turning into fists.

Lisa bowed, gave her the roses and kiss Jennie on her head. Jennie was caught off guard and was not able to hide her blush once again. Lisa smiled at her and waved at the camera. Everyone in the cafe was ecstatic except for their managers who are seated in silence.

On the table, different desserts and drinks were served. For the couple to win the challenge, they have to be honest with their answers. For the first round, easy questions will be asked. These are basic information about Lisa since Jennie's life is already an open book. For the second round, these are more personal and deeper questions and both of them will have to answer. They will only have three chances of passing. 

"Okay, Let's start!" Jennie said with full of excitement.

Right after they met, Jennie already did her research about Lisa. But she only found out about the basic things like her full name, her hometown, her age which is two months younger than her, and the awards given to her. The information was so limited that's why she's paying so much attention while Lisa was answering the questions. Currently, they are down to the last few questions.

"What degree have you finished and where did you study?"

"Uhm. I took up Business Management in a university in the States with some of my friends. I also had masters in some business related course." Lisa humbly answered and smiled shyly.

"Would you mind sharing what types of businesses are you in?"

"Is that also a question from a fan?" Lisa chuckle lightly.

"Nope. It was actually my personal question." Jennie gave her a gummy smile.

"Well, you owe me one then." Lisa smiled back which made them look like a real couple who's just having a small chat.

"I-I uhm... I have my own clothing line, a little restaurant, a studio and some other stuff."

Jennie was stunned once again. Is she serious? That's a lot!

"You're not the busy type, are you?" Jennie half-joked.

"Actually, business has been my life for almost a decade now." Jennie nodded and her face showed amusement about everything that she was hearing from Lisa. This one is really a business freak she thought.

"Which among your businesses is your favorite?"

"The studio." Lisa answered immediate without hesitation.

"You sound so sure, why is that?" 

"Well, that was my first love." Lisa said with her eyes full of love. "Ever since I was young, I really love taking photographs. I really consider that place as my home. My sanctuary."

"If you are to choose between me and the studio, which do you love more?"

Lisa was taken aback by the question. She was silent for a moment. She doesn't even love Jennie but is she really going make it so obvious?

Jennie misinterpreted the silence of Lisa. She knows the answer already but seeing Lisa think about it made her feel a little happy.

"Uhm. I really love my studio, Jennie..." Lisa sounding apologetic and has obviously become a little uncomfortable which Jennie noticed.

Jisoo and Rosé on the side was smirking. They knew Lisa don't love Jennie at all.

"B-but, I don't want to choose tho." Lisa finished which erased the smirks on the managers' faces.

"Hey. I was just kidding." Jennie said while smiling. "Why would you choose if you could have both, right?" then she put her hand on Lisa's like she's trying to tell her to just relax and she actually did. Lisa nodded and smiled.

"Okay, so for the last question. I was just curious about you having your own clothing line.  What types of clothes do you have?"

"I have almost all types for all seasons." She smiled. "What I am wearing right now is also from my clothing line."

"Would you mind being a runway model for a few minutes and show them your clothes?"

"Would that make my girl happier?"

Jennie was taken aback by the sudden question but managed to nod. Pink tint was slowly creeping on her cheeks.

"Then I'll do it!" Lisa said and stood instantly. This was one way of promoting her clothing line. She stood away from Jennie and started to walk towards her while giving Jennie a serious look. Jennie bit her lips, realizing that Lisa would be damn hot model in a runway. Every girl will go crazy just to have her as a model.

When Lisa was seated beside her, she leaned towards Jennie's ear and whispered, "You might cut your lip for biting it too hard." then she pulled away smiling.

Jennie's face turned red like a tomato and tried her best to cover her face. Everyone wondered what Lisa said to her but all they got was Lisa's resounding laughter. She held Jennie by her shoulder and tapped it. "You're so cute." then she giggled while shaking her head.

After recovering, Jennie removed her hands from her face and glared at Lisa who is still smiling from ear to ear. She turned to the camera and said, "Okay, that's it for the first round. Let's get ready for the second one!"
