It was nighttime again when you got to New York. However, this time it wasn't just darkness like before. Bright lights from buildings, billboards and street lights were shining into the car from every direction.

You were driving now, and Buck had been asleep in the front seat but was now awake. "Wow it's gorgeous," you said in awe, as you drove through the centre of the city. "Can't believe I've never seen this place before,"

Buck was too busy watching you to look at the city. He was falling in love with you, and had been since he first kissed you many months ago. Your eyes lit up as you looked at the city outside, he found you so much more beautiful than any city could be.

"So where is this place?" you asked him as he grabbed the file from the backseat. "Surely it's not hidden away in a city like this,"

"Yeah," Buck muttered as he flipped through the file. You noticed he had been quiet since he had put his fist through the window earlier. But both of you always had stuff on your minds so you put it down to that. He was just worried about the mission. "Oh here, it's literally right here," he pointed to a building next to a bright billboard as you drove past.

You tried to stop the car but failed miserably. "There?" you had no idea what to do now. It was like the weirdest place you'd ever been sent on a mission, it was right in the public eye. "We'll that's new,"

You parked up in a parking lot a few miles away from the building. Both of you were obviously nervous, given that you were about to walk into a brightly lit city centre wearing suits and carrying deadly weapons. It was 90% likely your faces would be everywhere in the morning, and the night was only just beginning.

The weapons and suits had been stored away in the boot of the car in a black duffel bag. Buck sorted them out and handed you your suit so you could get changed. On top of your suit you wore a black zip up hoodie and joggers. They were easy to get off, and easy to use to stay in the background. Buck had done the same with his suit. And the last thing you were to do was load up the weapons.

As you stood over the bag, with guns, grenades and knives laying inside, both of you hesitated. "Okay so um, what's the plan of attack?" you weren't expecting a reply and you didn't get one. "So I think we should probably just take everything? I mean this isn't gonna be easy,"

Buck made no effort to respond, so you took some of the weapons for yourself and left the other ones for him. "I'm thinking if we should set off now," you said, zipping your hoodie up all the way and pulling your hair back, "Buck come on," you slammed the car door and he turned to look at you.

"I heard you I'm just gearing myself up too," he was quieter than usual, and instead of annoying him more you decided to start walking. You knew he would catch up eventually and you needed some air.

Soon enough, Buck caught up with you. First you walked in a comfortable silence, but soon you fell into a rhythm of quiet chatter. It was trying to cover up the tension and worry about this mission and it was obvious. As it was probably late, the streets were less busy than before as you made it to the centre of New York. "Okay so where was the building?" you asked, utterly confused as to where exactly you were.

"I think it was opposite a load of billboards," Buck said, "but they do seem to be everywhere,"

"Did you bring the file?" you asked, Buck shook his head. "Wow we are stupid, okay so I think we should guess? No we can't guess. Let's just walk and if we spot something familiar check it out,"

Buck laughed, and casually threw his arm over your shoulders without really noticing. You tried not to be too weird about it but it was all your mind could think about. Why was he acting like you were a couple? Were you a couple? Did he think you were a couple? Was it a disguise? It was too much stress for you to handle right now.

"Wait, that's it!" Buck moved his arm from your shoulder to point at the building from earlier. He sounded both happy he had found it and also annoyed. You knew he was particularly unhappy with this mission and now you were actually about to do it. Just steal Captain America. "So, are you ready?"

You shrugged, "as I'll ever be,"

You crossed the street and ended up in front of the building. It was brand new, pretty much. There were lots of glass windows, all of them dark. You could see the entrance, and despite the building looking quiet, from its sheer size you knew that it would be well guarded. And so would the body of Captain America.

Buck tried the door handle, as it was locked it would trigger a silent alarm. It always would. You made your way around to the other side, and when you heard the door open and Buck cough you smashed through the glass and found yourself in a large lobby. A long receptionist desk in front of you, and then the hallway beyond that. As far as you could see there were sets of black doors. You got to the first set of doors and sat on the first step as the door closed, you had to wait for Buck first. And you weren't sure how many guards were attacking him. You anxiously bit your nails waiting for him.

Soon enough you heard heavy footsteps and the door swung open. Buck stood in front of you, wearing his full Winter Soldier outfit. His eyes lost their sparkle when the mask was placed over his face. Yours never had any to begin with. "They're all dead aren't they?" you whispered, as Buck helped you stand up.

"You expect a different answer every time you ask," he responded coldly, you ignored him and walked up the stairs. "There was 5 at first, then another 10. I managed to get here before the next lot," 15. You'd taken the lives of 15 innocent people. Buck knew you always asked. You always felt bad. "You know I had to do it,"

"I still wish you didn't," your voice was brittle, a stark contrast to Buck's toneless voice and expression. "Come on, let's go. We have to find this guy in this huge place first."

You walked around for a while, scanning each floor. The building was eleven floors high, and as you reached the seventh floor you began to grow bored. You let Buck finish that floor and dragged yourself up to the next floor. When you reached the top of the stairs, there wasn't a hallway. Just two sets of doors. Both looked the exact same. "Hey Buck," you called out, but the doors at the bottom of the stairs had fallen closed. "Great,"

You chose the door on the left, and pushed it open quietly. In front of you there was a huge room. Grey floors and white walls, but a massive cardboard structure stood in the middle. "What the fuck?" you muttered under your breath. You opened the door behind you to find Buck coming up the stairs. "Quick hurry I think we found what we're looking for,"

Buck ran the last few stairs, and you both quietly approached the cardboard structure. "Are you sure this is the place?" Buck asked.

"Okay we've seen offices for seven floors. This is not an office, this is creepy. This is definitely what we are looking for," there was a door round the left side, and you twisted the handle, letting yourself inside.

The 'room' was small. An old hospital setting was used. A recording was playing and the window was still open. However what you focused on most was the bed, and the person laying on top of it. Captain America. The great legend and Hydra's worst enemy was defenceless and right in front of you.
