I paced around the small room which wasn't actually small, but it felt like with every minute that passed, it started to shrink. I left the table shortly after Paolo said my father was arranging a marriage for me and Julian and, surprisingly enough, Julian let me leave. He was probably too busy processing the words that had come out of his uncle's mouth. I mean, arranging a marriage while I was eleven? How much time did they fucking need? They could have at least introduced me to Julian at the time seeing as though they were so eager to set us up.

Fucking hell, these heels were starting to kill me.

I stopped in the middle of the room. Never in my life had I ever felt this anxious and bored, but yet my mind couldn't stop racing. I bent down to unclip my heels and slip them off, throwing them in the corner of the room. I ran a frustrated hand through my soft curly hair, feeling all the knots since I didn't have any product to put in.

I walked over to the window and opened the black silky curtain revealing the front driveway of the big and luxurious house. There were about four cars parked out front and who knew how many more were in the garage.

They were all either a shiny or matte black and looked expensive as hell. I leaned on the windowsill as I took a further interest in the cars. One was a shiny black 2021 BMW M8. It was absolutely beautiful. I'd heard a lot about the car, ranging from the way that the tires were better performance in terms of lap time, the dry handling, the wet handling, and brake performance. Not to mention that the rims were a shiny black and the shape was like no other rim.

It probably sounded fucking beautiful too. Next to it was a matte Lamborghini Huracan. I had taken a liking to cars over the years and I wasn't sure why but I loved them. Fuck, why the hell did he have such nice cars and why did it turn me on?

I missed my Mercedes.

Fuck, my Mercedes.

I left it at the club so no doubt it probably got stolen or towed. Well shit, I had no luck on that end. I blamed Julian for that so fuck him for the thousandth time today.

The sun was setting low, creating a pinkish tint as it reflected off the ground. I'd already spent the whole day here and they hadn't let me leave even though I didn't know how I could be of any use to them. They didn't need me.

I may have more information than them on Aldrik but it wasn't going to help because right now I had no fucking clue where he could be other than the fact that he had to be close because his underbosses were here and they typically stuck together. Unless they were out for business trips which was most likely not the case because Aldrik had a lot of enemies so he rarely did business with anyone. I was surprised he wasn't dead yet. If Julian, the don himself with the biggest mafia, couldn't get his hands on Aldrik, then it was going to be ten times harder for me to get my hands on him.

A loud knock on the door made me come out of my trance. I snapped my head towards the door wondering who it was because I knew for a fact that Julian would not knock. I walked over hesitantly and put my hand on the door handle to open it. I was surprised to see that it was Christan. I narrowed my gaze wondering why, out of all people, Julian decided to send him because I knew that he didn't come on his own. He stood there and I stared at him, waiting for him to talk.
