January 27th

My 23rd birthday.

My heels were loud against the marble tile as I walked down the hallway and made my way to Julian's office. I knew the boys were in there because I overheard them talking and I was actually kind of offended that I didn't get invited to the meeting.

So, I decided to invite myself since they wanted to be assholes. I wore a black lacy top with a black blazer and black dress pants that hugged my hips and thighs but flared at the end, completing the look with my favorite black heels with red bottoms.

I stopped at the entrance of the office. None of them noticed me so I just stood there leaning against the door frame as I watched them. Julian was standing with his back to me in front of a large white board filled with papers and writings, but I couldn't see what was on it from here.

The rest of them were either standing or sitting, talking over each other at times. I almost wanted to curse at them when I spotted Layla sitting by Luca, but the feeling was almost immediately replaced with a sinking feeling in my stomach. Ever since I reviewed the information I gathered with that USB, it was kind of hard to look at her. Even if I didn't look through all of it.

"Where was the last shipment?" Christan asked. I glanced at him and then glanced back at Julian. He rolled his shoulders back and ran a frustrated hand through his slicked back hair. He wore a black dress shirt with black dress pants and no matter how many times I'd see this man a day, the sexual desire was still lingering and I couldn't stop the ache in between my thighs that felt like it grew every day.

"Aldrik may have a part in this," Alex said from his seat in front of the desk. They discussed the topic for about five more minutes talking about where the trucks got hijacked. I took in all the information and came up with my own thoughts about the situation.

"Aldrik wouldn't go out of his way to start something he can't finish," I said suddenly. All of their heads turned towards me and I even saw Sergio jump a little. Julian looked at me, scanning down my body like he did two nights ago in the kitchen. I couldn't lie and say it didn't make me nervous because it did, but I shrugged it off and acted like he didn't affect me.

"Elisia," Layla beamed excitedly. "Oh my gosh, you look hot!" she added almost right away and I glanced at her trying to cover up the guilt about earlier by giving her a wink with a small smile as I walked inside the room.

As I passed Mateo, I stopped and looked down at him from his seat. It was like he knew what I was going to say because he looked away from me trying to avoid my gaze.

"So, I hear you got a new job?" I said turning my body fully towards him.

"Does he pay you more than I do?" I teased him with a sarcastic tone. I only said that because I vaguely remembered Mateo complaining about his pay before. I heard a muffled laugh come from Alex, but he stopped when I threw him a deadly look. Both of these assholes had been working in Julian's restaurant for the past week. Mateo was their new cook, so I heard, and Alex was a new waiter.
