Chapter 03
It's been a month since the last time I remember some of my memory when I was in High School, isang buwan na rin ang nakalipas simula nang huli kaming nagkita ni Zaiker.
Para lang siyang bula na biglang nawala isang araw matapos ang huling pag-uusap namin. He was replaced by someone and I don't even know who is it dahil hindi naman nagpapakita. Ang sabi lang sa akin ni daddy ay nasa malayo raw ito nagbabantay, sapat lang para masigurong ligtas ako at sapat lang din para hindi ko ito makita.
I wonder why Zaiker was replaced, though. Was he protecting someone else? Is it a woman?
Oh, you stop thinking about it, Levanna or else you'll regret it.
I'm busy arranging my things above my desks when suddenly my workmate stood beside my swiveling chair, her name is Mildred.
"Lev, nag-aaya kasi sila Vince na magpunta mamaya sa club sa BGC, gusto mong sumama?" she asked while smiling.
"Uh, sure," I answered,
There's nothing wrong with it naman, and maybe it's time to escape from the stress I've been feeling these past few weeks because of my lost memories.
I've never been this confused and excited to remember my past, I even forced myself to remember last week, and I fainted. No one knew about it.
Not even Nanay Rena.
"Sabay ka na lang kaya sa amin?" Mildred's eyes twinkled,
"Kasama ko kasi yung bodyguard ko e', pwede bang sa club na lang or sa parking lot ng club tayo magkita?"
"Sige-sige, sabihan ko na sila Vince. Wala nang bawian ha," Mahina naman akong natawa sa binitawan niyang mga salita at napailing bago bumalik sa pag-aayos ng desk ko.
I got hired by this traveling agency last week, I have nothing to worry about my studies because my class starts at 6 PM, Philippines time and 10 AM in Palermo, Italy.
Yes, I'm still studying to be a registered obstetrician someday. It will take me years to become one, but I know that I can do it.
I just want to work in an office because I want to experience it and to save money for my own expenses.
"Lev, let's go?" Mildred came back and I nodded as I took my bag from my seat and followed her hanggang sa elevator.
"Hi, Levanna!" I smiled at Vince and Hannah when I stepped inside the elevator.
"Hello," I greeted them back.
Honestly, I'm comfortable with them since they treat me like how they treat others too. No special treatment, just normal.
I had a friend before in Italy, but she betrayed me after she heard that her ex was interested on me so, I cut my connection with her especially when I found out that she was the one who gave the paparazzi my locations and my schedules. She was my friend and my manager so it's not hard for her to do that kind of move, luckily, she vanished after the news about that issue came out, but someone covered it and blocked those articles about it.
"Convoy na lang?" I heard Hannah's voice.
Nakatingin silang tatlo sa akin dahilan para tumikhim ako nang makaramdam ng awkwardness, did they watch me when I was on my deep thought?
"Ah, yeah. Convoy na lang," I smiled but it's kinda awkward for me,
Hannah nodded and Vince smiled while staring at me, napalingon ako kay Mildred na nakayapos sa braso ko at nakangiti na rin sa akin.
