A close call

"What the hell?! Krystal!?" Fox spoke softly not to get any attention. Somehow he knew Neo and Stan were hiding something, but he never knew it would be Krystal out of all people. But how long where they hiding her? Since the start? He needed to know more.

Krystal hid under her hoodie while getting on Neo's bike as he rode all the way to his home. Seeing a chance to expose her location to her step-father, Fox secretly followed them. He was careful not to think too much as he knew from past experience that Krystal has telepathy. So far, Neo was not aware of Fox following him.

Soon enough, they reached to Neo's home. Fox was able to hid his ride and quickly memorize address so that he can inform the father about this. But before he could call him, his curiosity was strong enough to allow him to spy on the 2 to see what was going on. He secretly looked through the window to see what looked like a living room. Neo was teaching Krystal about Martial Arts and helping her out.

"So Krystal. Are you ready?" Neo asked her.

"For the plan?" She asked back.

Neo nodded as Fox was close to hearing it all. "We'll get proof of the abuse and save you from him. And until we find you a good parent who will treat you like a daughter, maybe...um..."

"Of course." Krystal smiled. "I'll stay with you guys until then. I...I just can't thank you enough. I just wish..."

Neo hugged her. "It's ok. Don't worry. Me and Stan are with you till the end."

"Stan?" Fox said to himself. "He's in this too? Those idiots! They don't know what her father will do!" He was about to get his phone when he felt his nostril twitched. He knew a sneeze was coming. He tried to stop it before he sends the location, but it was too late. "ACHOO!"

Neo turned. "What was that?" He rushed to see who it was. He moved the curtains to see Fox wiping his nose. "OH NO!"

Fox then got his to phone and was about to send it when Neo came out and knocked the phone out of his hand to the ground, breaking it in the process. Fox looked at Neo in anger. "You idiot! That's not cheap!"

"You were going to rat out Krystal! Weren't you?" Neo demanded.

"It's for our own good!" Fox said without denial. "And honestly, I didn't think she would be here with you!"

Neo lost patience and wanted an explanation. "WHY?! Why would you do that to her?! Is it because of what happened to your dad?!"

"Why should I tell you!? You won't even help me out!"

"Excuse me?! Help you out!? With what!?! You're not making any sense!!!"

"And neither are you! She has no place!!!"

Krystal then walked up to him. "Fox. What happened to you?"

"What do you mean?" Fox asked coldly.

"You use to be a kindhearted Ludus. You even loved me. Was it all worthless? Was I not that special to you?"

"No. No you're not. Not what I truly wanted." Fox's words pierced her heart like a knife.

"Then what do you want you asshole?" Neo got in front of Fox with an angry look.

"I doubt you will understand. After all, you only care about her. Not everyone else. Nor me."

Neo scoffed. "Oh that's rich! Sounds to me you don't care about anyone else!"

"Yes I do!" Fox snapped as he turned. "About Stan and you. But since you idiots won't listen, then you'll need to learn the hard way." He then darted towards hi ride to head off.
