In April nothing specific happened. Well, except for Umbridge of course. She founded the Inquisitorial Squad and is now trying to find the "forbidden group", that Potter, Granger and Weasley founded. Obviously, most of the Slytherins participate, which honestly is not good at all. Minerva told me that Severus has been trying to talk them out of it. I mean, they are truly trying to bust their classmates for doing something "illegal" in her eyes. It is seriously ridiculous. However, that won't stop me from teaching my students some real defensive spells and not like Umbridge letting them copy a stupid text 4 times.
School was almost over. Easter holidays just passed, and I spent it with the Weasley's. Since Severus and I shared the kiss in his office, he has been avoiding me and couldn't even keep eye contact with me, even though I have noticed him looking at me a few times in the Great Hall.
Tonight, the DA. is having a meeting and Potter asked me to assist. It was weird at first, but I didn't think it was necessary that I was teaching them. I was only there to watch over them, assist the students because Potter couldn't assist everyone at the same time. It was a simple plan of efficiency. I haven't assisted them in quite some time. He kept me updated on what they have practiced over the last couple weeks and today he decided to practice the Patronus Charm.
Since the Patronus Charm isn't exactly easy to conjure, I am supposed to assist them today. I quietly walked to the Room of Requirement, making sure no one was following me. As I stepped inside, all the students were already there. I looked through the whole room. I can only say that the Room of Requirement is a truly magical place. It is always equipped for what you need it for. The vaulted ceiling makes the room look bigger and better. The room was as old as the castle itself. I must admit, the founders where extremely clever, even back then.
Potter informed me already that he will tell them what they are going to learn today, but he wanted me to explain and teach them this time. I didn't necessarily agree, because so far he is an excellent teacher, but we're under enough pressure as it is, so I agreed.
"Alright. Let's gather around everybody. As I am sure Potter already informed you of what we're doing today, I will repeat it once more. Today we will conjure a Patronus. is a form of advanced magic which even the most qualified wizards can struggle with. The Patronus is a kind of Anti-Dementor – a guardian which acts as a shield between you and the Dementor. It's also a kind of positive force, a projection of the very things that the Dementor feeds upon – hope, happiness, the desire to survive – but it cannot feel despair, as real humans can, so the Dementors can't hurt it. The Patronus has two forms, non-corporeal and corporeal. A non-corporeal Patronus can appear as a thin wisp of silver that hovers like mist. Whereas a corporeal Patronus has a form that is clearly defined and is more than vapor or smoke. The ability to cast a corporeal or non-corporeal Patronus is down to the skill of the witch or wizard. Each Patronus is unique to the witch or wizard who conjures it, and it's possible, in some cases, for a Patronus to change. Why would a Patronus change, you might ask yourself. Magic works in mysterious ways. We can compare it to a wand. As all of you know the wand chooses the wizard and it is not always clear why. For some reason, your wand chose you and for the same reason your Patronus might be able to change. But I am not gonna let your brains break about that thought. There are indicators as to how a Patronus can be changed if possible. Sometimes, magic knows more about you than you do about yourself. A Patronus can be changed by true love. I know you are ready to get to the interesting part. How does one conjure a Patronus. With the incantation "Expecto Patronum". We don't mean to shout, but really you have to say it like you mean it. Think about a memory. Not just any memory, a happy memory. Allow it to fill you up to your fullest. Off you go now, it's time for you to discover yours", I finished explaining.
