When we all got up, there was this thing in the room. The room was completely empty, besides a few rocks and this veil. I don't know what it is exactly, nor what it does, but I heard whispers coming out of it. It looked like it was ancient magic or something like that. Subconsciously I walked closer to it. "Please, guys. Let's just get out of here", Hermione whined, but I wasn't even really listening to her. "Do you hear the voices", Harry asked. "There aren't any voices Harry. Let's just go", she tried to reason but to no avail. "I can hear them too", I said. I was now only a few feet away from then. I turned around, only to see black smoke above us. "GET BEHIND ME", I yelled, and they did as I ordered them too. The black smoke was coming faster and faster into our direction. I fired many spells, but to no avail. All of us fell to the ground and the only thing I was able to see was the black smoke. I felt someone grab me and when I opened my eyes, I was standing. I turned my head minimally to be able to recognize anything from my attacker, but out of the corner of my eye, I could not see anything. His wand was at my throat, the other hand was on my waist. Whoever it was pushed me extremely close to him, too close. I struggled against him. All of us were taken by someone, except Harry. He was still standing, the prophecy in his hand.

I tried to set myself free, but his hand kept me firmly in place. His face came closer to mine, and I felt the cold medal of his mask on my face. "The Order is on their way. When they're here, I want you to free yourself and fire a spell at me, understood?", whispered the man, and I recognized the voice immediately. It was Severus, no doubt. I slowly nodded my head to signal him I understood. I relaxed a bit against him. I saw Lucius Malfoy go up to Harry and he tried to persuade him to give the prophecy to him. I saw Neville protest, but Bellatrix silenced him quickly. Harry had no choice. It was either give Malfoy the prophecy or die. No idea if Lucius is a man of his word, but for now Harry had no choice but to believe him. If it were just him, I like to think, he would have acted as the hero he is, but seeing his friends taken by death eaters, I knew he would give up the prophecy. The second he handed Malfoy the prophecy, a slight white light turned out of the veil. Sirius Black walked up to them and said: "Get away from my godson" and he punched Lucius Malfoy right in the face. I guess that was my signal. I forced Severus back with my entire bodyweight and slammed him against the wall. It's not like he was protesting anyway. He let go of me and now it was payback time. Several white lights appeared, and I saw Moody, Tonks, Lupin and Shacklebolt.

We fought against the death eaters and tried our hardest but it wasn't easy. We had to watch out for the kids, so that none of them would get hurt. I managed to grab Ginny and bring her to Tonks. Spells were flying everywhere, and I had to be careful. I saw Rockwood, who was about to attack Lupin. He was right behind him, and Lupin never would have seen it coming. "Stupefy", and he flew across the room. Lupin gave me a short nod and we continued to fight. While I tried to make sure the kids were safe, I saw Sirius and Harry up by the veil, fighting against Lucius.

It was total chaos, and it was hard to defend oneself and the others as well. During the total chaos, I didn't even think about Severus. I saw several bodies lying on the floor. I knew they weren't any of us, but I also didn't think about the possibility that one of them could be Severus.

Only when I heard the words "Avada Kedavra", did I look up and I saw the green jet light. I followed its direction and... it hit Sirius square in the chest. I couldn't move, I couldn't breathe. It seemed everything was in slow motion. His body fell through the veil, and he was...gone. Harry couldn't believe his eyes. He started screaming and wanted to follow Sirius through the veil, but Remus stopped him. I cannot even describe his screams. I wanted to cry. It was heartbreaking, hearing him scream, this agonizing never ending scream. Sirius was gone, and there is nothing he could do to change that. I heard Bellatrix's evil laugh and Harry tried to set himself free and eventually, he got free. He ran after Bellatrix and I heard her screaming happily, "I've killed Sirius Black. Hahaha". Harry ran after her and there was nothing Remus could do. I couldn't imagine how he must feel. He lost the only family member he had left. Of course, he still had his friends, and they are his family too, but he never, not once in his entire life did, he get to spend much time with a family member.
