So you want to know what a kemono is? Well here is a guide to what one is.

A kemono is a human with animals features on their body. its kinda like your 3/4 parts human and 1/4 parts animal.  A kemono mostly have animals ears, tail, claws, and fangs. unfortunately we have no evidence that one is currently alive, but there may be a few out there. The most common kemono types are the wolf, cat, fox, and bunny. but you can become more! some uncommon kemono types are Sheep, skunk, dogs, ferret, and ect! but you don't have to just have mammal features. you can have reptile creature features as well! (yes these exist) you can have a lizard, snake and more types of tails and ears! kemonos come in all varieties.

For mammal kemonos:

Your ears will replace your human ears. When you grow your ears, your human ears will slowly transform into your desired mammal ears like dog, cat and more. You will see your ears changing slowly throughout your journey. While your ears are growing you may grow the fur along with the growth. You may also grow the fur after your ears have transformed.  if this sound confusing then this is what i'm saying. When our ears are growing you can also grow the fur as well, or you will just have skin for your ears and then grow the fur after they develop. note that your ears will not and never be retractable. there would be no space for your ears to go. and you will lose a ton of blood. can you retract your arm?

for your fangs and claws it won't really change. your fangs will just be bigger, longer teeth. they also will be pointer and sharper depending on your kemono type. this is what they could look like.  if your a sheep or goat OR a rabbit kemono you wont get fangs. you may stay stuck with your human teeth. your claws will just be longer nails. you would have to cut them a certain way to get them to actual claws. i'm currently growing out my nails long enough to cut and file them like claws. if you would want to get rid of your claws you can just cut your nails! easy as that!  note that your fangs and claws won't be retractable. you would have no teeth and and nails, you would lose a lot of blood.  (note that this also goes for reptile kemonos.)

your tailbone is located right above your rear at  the end of your spine. you tailbone will slowly grow longer until it becomes a tail. again you can grow fur along the process or at the end of the tail growth. depending on your kemono type they can be differents sizes. you would not be able to control the length of your tail. your body chooses it for you.  when you grow taller you slowly change overtime. that is how your tail will be. say you get full results at 25, your tail would not grow anymore since you have had your growth spurt. while if you get full results at 16 your tail would continue to grow until your turn 20 most likely. but its different for everyone! i turned 12 in september and i'm currently listening to a subliminal ive created for myself. so if i got results at 14-15 then my new body parts would still be growing.  note that your tail will not and never be retractable. you would die from blood loss.  you would have to be careful washing your tail and ears with you normal human shampoo. you wouldnt want to burn your ears and tail and mabey even lose the fur of them would you?

For reptile kemonos:

you most likely wouldn't have your reptile ears. you would most likely keep your human ears.  but you would have a tail. a big one as well. the skin would be really thick and the tail would be quite longer and wider that the mammal kemonos. your tails would be the hardest to protect and take care of. Your tail would not be retractable at all. You grew all those cells just to put them away? and it would hurt a ton.  It would take about 4-7 or more years to grow out your tail.  you would have to be extra careful to choose the right shampoo for your skin considering the fact that you could burn and scar your scales of your tail because of some chemicals. and it would hurt a lot. i unfortunately do not know any shampoos that would be good for your tails, so try your best to not put shampoo on your tail and rub it. it's fine if there's a little bit like when you rinse but not if its a lot spreaded and there for a while.
