Chapter 8

The next couple of days consist of Yeji trying really hard to get Ryujin's attention but failing badly on it. "I swear is that girl blind that she can't see your efforts?" Jisu asked

"Well can you blame her? So far everything we tried ended up failing, except for that one time it actually exploded" Soobin commented

"Why did I agree on having a fireworks display?" Yeji asked

"If that worked it could've been romantic" Jisu replied

"Welp, it didn't, and we nearly caught your house on fire" Soobin added

"Argh! Why is it so hard!" Yeji complained

"This is why I let my boylets do the work" said Soobin

"Argh. You guys are no help" said Yeji sighing "Now go. I have work to finish" she added, and her friends left.

On the flip side. Ryujin noticed that Yeji's been acting weird ever since they got back from their mini vacation so, she's getting worried. So, she's currently driving Yeji back to their house and it was a pretty silent car ride.

When they arrived, Yeji went out the car before Ryujin could have opened the door for her. At this point Ryujin couldn't take it anymore "Yeji, wait" she said grabbing the other girls' wrist.

Yeji turned and looked at Ryujin tiredly "Yeah?" she asked

"Is everything ok?"

"Yeah" Yeji replied and tried to go in the house but again Ryujin didn't let her "What?" her voice was harsher this time

Ryujin decided not to press any further and let go of the girls' hand "Nothing, never mind" she said and turned the other way

Yeji sighed "Wait" she ordered making Ryujin turn back "What were you trying to say?" she asked. Her voice is calmer this time.

Ryujin came closer "Well, it's just I noticed you've been acting weird these couple of days and I...I'm worried about you" she confessed

"Y-you are?"

Ryujin gulped and nodded "Yeah. Well, I mean. It kinda is my job"

"Oh" Yeji replied disappointedly

"Uhm...So, I'll go ahead. Good night" said Ryujin turning away again

"I was acting that way because I was only trying to get your attention" Yeji confessed making Ryujin stop from her tracks

She turned "What?" Ryujin asked "Why?"

Yeji thought for a second "Well, you brought me to the vineyard and I actually had fun. So, I wanted to repay you" she lied

"Oh" Ryujin scratched the back of her head "you don't need to do that"

"But I wanted to" Yeji insisted "How about we go see a movie this weekend? Only if you want"

Ryujin smiled "I'd like that"

"Great, I'll see you tomorrow then"

Ryujin nodded "Good night"

"Night"

Saturday came, and the pair are waiting on the line to buy a ticket "So, what do you want to watch?" Ryujin asked

"You're going out?! OMG" Soobin said

"Yeah, we're going to watch a movie this weekend" Yeji replied

"Girl! You finally have your first ever date. Make it memorable!" Jisu said

"Yeah, I will"

"You said you're going to watch a movie, right?" Soobin asked, and Yeji nodded "Why don't you use that as a stepping stone to make a move"

"Go watch a horror movie" Jisu explained

"But I don't like horror movies"

"Girl suck it up. Just think if she gets scared she'll cling on your arms" Soobin replied

"I think, Ryujin's not the type of girl that gets scared" Yeji commented

"Well, just try. You don't have anything to lose" said Jisu

"Let's try Pet Sematary" Yeji replied

"Are you sure? It's a horror movie" Ryujin asked but Yeji nodded her head "Ok, if you say so"

So, they bought some popcorn and drinks then they took their seats. Yeji tried her best not to get nervous, but Ryujin noticed it. So, she held the girls' hand. Yeji tensed up at first and turned to Ryujin who just gave her a smile then eased up.

Throughout the movie Yeji kept flinching and the popcorn are getting everywhere annoying the people in front of them "Sorry" Ryujin apologized as Yeji hide behind the popcorn.

Ryujin turned to the other girl and saw that she really is scared and only trying to be brave. And with that she couldn't help but smile

"So, did you enjoy?" Ryujin asked as she walked Yeji to her room

"Yeah, thank you for coming with me by the way"

"No, it's my pleasure actually"

"I know you kept laughing at me" said Yeji pushing Ryujin

Ryujin smiled "Night" she said when they arrive. But instead of answering Yeji kissed her cheek instead, surprising the other girl then closed the door behind her.
