He was scary.

My real grandpa looked scary. His eyes were dripping evilness. His gaze, his sharp features, and his twitching muscles must have scared Anastasia the most when she had to share the same bed with the man. That is why she decided to mask his presence in her life with Han's.

Han managed somehow to stop his body from swaying because of the punch's impact. He didn't spare any time before he shoves his fist backward then straight to Pierre's face that took the man by surprise.

And that's how the fight began. My heart was sinking at every punch or kick Han gets. It made me shiver whenever I heard him groaning or wincing. The two men kept fighting for dominance during their fight, but mostly the higher hand was for Pierre who was more of a build than Han.

Minutes passed with me watching the fight, knowing that I have no power to intervene. I wasn't even really there. The two men fell flat to their backs on the floor as they both were running out of breath. The room was filled with the sound of their heavy breaths mixed with the storm that started to rage outside.

"You would never have this house." Han said panting heavily. His face was wounded. His hair was disoriented and his suit was ruined. "I would never allow that."

"Is that how you got the girl? By being full of words and promises, you filthy Asian." He chuckled. He was also panting and in a disoriented state, but he was the first to lift himself up.

"I was never full of words. I gave promises that I fulfilled like any proper man. And I doubt if you know what men are like, since you only have the shape of them." Han insulted him while getting up to be sitting upright.

Han didn't see how Pierre gritted his teeth at Han's last words. He didn't see that the man's wicked hand was making it to the empty liquor bottle dangerously.

"NO!" I screamed at the top of my lungs once I saw Pierre's hand being shoved to Han's head with the bottle in it.

My scream was never heard and Han was never alarmed. Han's body swayed to the side and landed on the cold wooden floor. The bottle that shattered to his head, was scattered everywhere around him and he was silent. He didn't even wince or groan.

Pierre looked at Han with emptiness in his eyes. That emptiness was soon replaced by terror once he saw the blood seeping out from Han's head that was resting on the floor.

I felt every ounce of energy being drained from my body, sending me to the floor on my knees. My warm tears started running down as the scene was played ahead of me.
