O light, o shining light of day,
With much zeal I come to morn glow,
Hope, silent, I wish you to stay,
For you are whom I used to know.

Hitherto immense fear encompassed me,
Size as uncontained; boundless as the sea,
Your light dost illuminat my frail face,
I ask, nay, I beg, grant me sincere grace.

Burdensome is the living tomb,
Confined by bars of flesh and bone,
Bind me together like a loom,
Free from this old body of stone.

I succumbed to utter desolation,
Snared by virulent imagination,
Constrained, bounded, by meager consciousness,
I wish- fragmented shard of blessedness.

Sever the tether; break the chains,
Release me from internal bonds,
I ask for sooth; free what remains,
I wish to see the pond and fronds.

World wanes; is lost in dreadful twilight,
Mournful winds; mocking shadows come at night,
Repressed by inter' and exter' oppressions;
Curse by innumerable depressions.
