"Tyler"
I looked up from my position on the cold metal kitchen prep station.
"mm?" I untucked my legs from underneath each other and leant back on my hands

"Don't you have washing to do" Whitney was the very first one to be employed by the prince, she was here 3 months on her own before I showed up

I shook my head
"No Jack did it." I sighed
Jack is so annoying, he's the 4th Waitor that arrived and we all knew he arrived.

He walked in the main doors yelling something along the lines of
"hell yeah! imma be rich now!"
He was just you're average, how can I say it.. absolute dumbass.

"Please hop down, the prince would have a fit seeing you on the food prep table." I rolled my eyes but jumped down anyway

The prince doesn't even know I exist.
Yeah, we get paid each day but that doesn't mean we get noticed. we don't get a hello, thankyou, goodbye, we don't even get eye contact.

I played with my black apron that hung upon my slim figure, we were all dressed in a red button up shirt and silk black pants, the girls had the same but they had v neck shirts with no buttons

"Tylerrr" I looked up to the screechy voice dragging out my name
"Hi Tammy."
Now this was a woman I could not stand.
She did absolutely nothing around the palace, she walks around with a towel and just walks and walks. no working what so ever

Oh if you're wondering there is 7 of us.

First to arrive was Whitney
then Me,
then it was David
then Jack,
then April
then Frank
then Tammy.

We are all different ages and different cultures. The prince wrote something about diversity in our employment packs but I was just happy I was accepted into the palace.

"Hello all." our heads snapped to the door where Thomas stood.
He was the prince's assistant which gave us our orders for the day. He actually acknowledged us.

Hello Thomas was thrown around the room
I tucked my leg behind the other and leant against the prep station
"The prince has a few meetings today which means he will be out of the palace majority of the day" He paused to look at his watch
"we will be back around 2:45pm, please have some cold refreshments and maybe some snacks in the prince's office for his return."
My hand shot in the air

"Tyler?" I nodded, Thomas knew our names as I said, he appreciates that we exist
"Do you want the refreshments made at 2.45 or on the desk at 2.45"

Whitney nodded beside me
"have them on the desk at 2:43 and we will walking in the main doors at 2.45. So you will have the day to yourselves, some dusting may need to be done in the South" Thomas bidded his goodbyes and left us standing in the kitchen

"well, im going to explode. im so hungry!" April whined.
She was the youngest out of us, she was only 17. she got the shorter shifts and the most pay because she is under the age of 18.

A few others agreed and left with April to our lunch room, which was a old bedroom in the North wings which was ajoined to our sleeping quarters.
We lived and breathed the palace, the only outside time we got was on our breaks or when the prince was outside and needed food or drinks

I smiled at Whitney as she wrote down on the whiteboard 2.43 in big bold letters.
"So what snacks are you thinking?"
Since Whitney and I were 1st and 2nd, we were in charge of delivering and organising the requirements of the prince

"maybe some strawberry and cool items?" Whitney hummed and walked over to the fridge
"shit!" I snapped my head to her who was pulling out the punnet of strawberries that had gone mouldy

"extra penicillin" I laughed but was soon quiet by the glare I was receiving from Whitney
I groaned
"I'll go get some. what else?" I grabbed a pen and held up the back of my hand.

Strawberries
Banana
chocolate
flour.

I put the pen back and made my way to the lower floors of the palace, the palace was equipped with its own "shopping centre" if you wish
Its just the basics but we can make an amazing buffet.

"Hi Tyler, my favourite man!" I smiled at Jayne, she was the supplier for all the foods and goodies
"Hi" I beamed and grabbed a basket that was placed by the door and headed straight for the strawberries

There were 7 punnets available, I grabbed 3, the chocolate was an easy one as the prince liked milk rather than dark or cocca based
"do you have any bananas?" Jayne frowned
"sorry hun, I haven't been able to get them in" I sighed
"Thats okay!" I grabbed the flour and also grabbed some apples to substitute for the bananas

I hummed my way down the halls and a door opening caught my attention
Thomas stepped out with the prince in tow, they hastily made their way out the front door not even looking my way.

I rolled my eyes and carried on my way back to the kitchen.
I placed all the items away and didn't even realise that Whitney was no longer in the kitchen, she probably went to do something around the palace.

I groaned as i remembered i forgot to do the prince's laundry yesterday. I spun on my toes and sped walk to his quarters.
The prince's room was placed on the far side of the palace, through the North quarters, past the garden, 3 rights and you're there.

I knocked on the door to ensure no one was inside, Normally the prince has an assistant make sure no one enters his room, except the servants.. when they don't forget about their jobs.

I pushed down on the gold handle and let out a huff pushing open the door.
Why are all the palace doors heavy. its total crap if you ask me.
I breathed in sharply at the smell of the prince's room

It was a musty wood smell with a mix of Cologne.
I made my way past the bed and into his ajoint bathroom and walk in robe.
He was very perticular about his things, though he never tells us.

I sighed at the sight of the extra full basket but what caught me off guard was the little creme piece of paper placed ontop of the pile of clothes
I carefully picked it up like it was going to bite me.

I bit my lip as i unfolded the paper

'you forgot my boy'

I let out an audible breath

my boy

Okay.. okay don't overthink it. he's just being nice.. right?
my boy

I shook my head as I pocketed the note and picked up the basket and wobbled my way back down the halls to the laundry room on the 3rd floor

my boy

I dropped the basket as I stepped into the laundry
"it's fine. stop thinking about it" I whispered more to myself considering as i was the only one in the room

I seperated the 'royal' clothes from his casual clothes.
We had set rules for his silk red and gold clothing.
Absolutely NO hot water or iron

my boy

I let out a groan of frustration.

"So did you forget my snacks too?"
