Background: Clarke was taken off the streets along with other orphans by LexCorp to be tested on to make an army of Metahumans to hunt and kill superman. Clarke was the only survivor of the testing, and before lex could insert a control chip into her mind, the Justice League stopped him and took Clarke in. Bruce Wayne took a liking to Clarke and brought her back to Gotham to be raised as his successor. Clarke chose to name herself after superman and Wonder Woman, completely starting her new life with a clean slate. She became close friends with Kate Kane and Beth Kane. When Beth Kane disappeared, Clarke blamed herself for not being with the girls that day. As the Kane family moved on, Clarke continued to look for Beth, even disappearing from Gotham for years tell now.
