Hannah

I checked my face in the bathroom mirror. Gosh I looked tired. Thankfully I had some makeup in my handbag. I put on a bit of concealer to cover my darkening bags under my eyes and then some powder to set it all.

Not that there was anyone to impress...

I washed my hands again and brushed through my hair with my fingers.

My phone buzzed. It was a text from Max but Dahlia had sent me a voicemail; 'did-you-bring-that-hot-dress-I-told-you-to-wear?'  Which I answered to first with a quick 'yes' before I opened Max's.

'Are you okay? You've been gone for like 15 minutes now.'

I answered with a quick, 'Yeah', and walked out from the ladies bathroom. On the way back to the table someone bumped in to me. I would've fallen if the man hadn't took hold of my arms to steady me. I looked up at the man and saw the driver I'd had a crush on for the past hours.

"Sorry" he apologised. He looked straight in to my eyes with a steady look. His green eyes slowly looked me up and down. We were standing so close that I could tell by his breath, he had consumed lots of alcohol. My eyes never left his. When I was about to say something, he let go of my arm and walked away. I stood there for a second before heading back.

When I reached the table Daniel handed me the drink I made him order. Carlos watched me trying it. "Can I just ask something?" He said. "Sure" I put down my drink on the table. "Do you have a boyfriend?" I grinned at his question. "Do you have a girlfriend?" I asked him instead, giving him a challenging look. "No, I don't actually" he answered flirtatiously.

"Stop flirting with my sister Carlos" Max said quickly with a stern look and kind of harsh tone. "I've tried it already mate, nearly got killed" Daniel added laughing at Carlos slightly taken back expression.

About 5 drinks later I was dancing in the club area of the building. We got here about an hour ago when Daniel and Max dragged us all with them. I could feel eyes watching me while I was dancing with Carlos. When I looked up, my thoughts were confirmed. Max stared at us, or mostly at Carlos, clearly unease with the situation. I gave Max a mischievous smile knowing I was kind of pissing him of. But it was not only Max who tensed. My new crush was besides him, also looking at us. His jaw clenched and brows furrowed. It was dark but from what I could tell when the club lights shined on him, he looked pissed off.

Honestly, I didn't even want to be here. It was nice until we went to the bar and everyone got wasted drunk. I started to think about my past month, the break up, the chaos, the bad races, the nights out and everything else that was fucked up. I sat with Max, who actually wasn't that drunk for once. We both looked at the dance floor, watching Carlos and Max's sister dance together. I frowned. Anyone could tell that it disturbed Max but he didn't say anything. For some reason it disturbed me as well.

When I met her before I couldn't help but look at her. She was interesting, and gorgeous. I'd never even heard him mentioned her before, it's like she was a secret, even for him. I wanted to know more.

"Hey!" A very drunk stumbling Daniel came over and sat down. "How are you, after everything?" He asked me, putting an arm around my shoulders. "Yeah man, have they gotten down those articles yet?" Max joined in.

About a week after the breakup my friends and I went out for a much needed drink. We ended up in a club and well, I took a girl home. Somehow paparazzis knew we where there and took pictures of us leaving the nightclub. Exactly the same thing has happened every time I've went out and gone home with a girl.

Last week, several articles got out with all the pictures of me and the different women leaving the club. The titles were awful and my team has done everything trying to get them down. The team sat up a meeting talking about my decision making and how I'm not allowed to meet girls in public for a while. Gosh, it was embarrassing. It's bad for my reputation, I get it, but honestly I think it's a bit unfair.

The team is not really happy with me. Since the break up I've also been performing really bad and I can't seem to pull myself together. I thought going out and having fun with friends would've helped, but it didn't.

"Yeah, they got everything down but I'm sure the pictures still exist somewhere" I said looking down at my beer. "The interviews this race week is probably gonna be horrible" I picked up the glass and put it to my lips. "Don't worry, Charles, we have all been there. I'm sure it will be okay if you just say that the pictures are fake or act like you have no idea what they're talking about" Daniel suggested.

"Yeah Christian always tells me to do that, it especially works when every article is down so nobody can really check it up again" Max has also had some problems with media so I eased a little when he said that. The amount of shit he got after everything with Daniil and Kelly was frightening.

Me and Max talked for over an hour with Daniel who was going back and forth between us and the dance floor. May he never loose his spirit that guy.

Some people came over to us, wanting photos which both me and Max disliked. But we agreed and smiled for the pictures. I started to get really tiered which did not help with looking happy that people came to us.

Then Max sister stumbled over to our table. Smiling and holding a drink. I couldn't help but rolling my eyes. There she was looking so wonderful but stupidly drunk and living her life. She didn't seem to have any problems at all. Max grabbed her pulling her down to sit in the sofa besides him. He took her drink and put it on the table. They started talking, or Max did, who got mostly nods from her. She put her head on his shoulder with closed eyes.

"I think I'm gonna head back to the hotel" I said feelings weird watching the situation since I've never even met her. Max nodded. "Yeah we'll leave now as well. "Hey Hannah! Don't fall asleep." Max said trying to get her awake. While he rose up he pulled Hannah with him. "Can you just take her for a second so I can get my stuff?" He asked me and walked away.

"Sure" I was a little bit annoyed since I just wanted to sleep. "Why don't you like me," Hannah started rambling with closed eyes, "You know what, I don't like you either." she stated with a small grin. "Mhm, sure you don't like me" I answered, playing her game. I couldn't help but looking down at her.

"Your so annoying actually" she replied smiling. My eyes was still fixed on her.

Just then Max got back, giving me the, don't-even-think-about-it, look. He quickly put his hand on Hannah's back, taking her from my grip. We didn't speak at all on the way back.

When we go to the hotel we exchanged a quick 'goodbye' and went our separate ways.
