Hiya! First, thank you. Thank you thank you thank you for sticking it out and for giving me your time. The fact that you made it this far is mind-blowing to me because I personally didn't know if I would make it.

This story has been to a lot of places. A lot of questions have been asked and I wanted to answer some of the ones that have become reoccurring.

Q: How did you come up with the story?

Once upon a time, there was this thing called FanFiction. Eeeeeek saying it out loud is weird haha. Yes, 'Once in a lifetime' was originally FanFiction, and I was obsessed with the guy who was Dalton and....it's FanFiction so the rest is kind of obvious. 😂

Q: How long did it take you to write it?

Do you want the short answer or the long one? The short answer is an on and off for a year. The long answer? I started it when I was a sophomore, stopped when I was a junior. Picked it back up for the second half (which originally was a sequel) my senior year and never ended up finishing it. I started it back up after I found Episode. I really wanted to make it an Episode story but coding is hard man. So I started officially rewriting it during the shutdown, then I realized how much part one needed fixed and a year and six months after that here we are.

Q: I don't like Juliet, why isn't she more likable.

Because she's flawed. When I first started writing Juliet's story I tried to make her the most likable character you've ever met. But as I came back to the story years later I realized she wasn't always the best at decision making and what she wanted was both equally hard and easy to achieve. I realized once I matured that she was very immature. (I mean come on. I wrote her when I was a sophomore 😂) So I ran with it, and I like it. I enjoy the fact that we know if she would just listen to Dalton a lot of heartaches wouldn't have happened. Sorry if she isn't your cup of tea. I have more characters named Lilith (Dalton's sister) and Charlotte (Charlie from group therapy) that have their own stories coming out soon, they are both very different from Juliet.
Lilly is a bold independent woman who speaks her mind unapologetically.
Charlie is shy but strong willed, willing to do anything to protect the ones she loves. She also feels as if she's meant to be alone.

Q: How did you decide Juliet would dance ballet and have an eating disorder?

Cause meeeeee! Haha. She's based off of me. 👋🏼 Juliet has my love for ballet and an eating disorder just like Sebastian (Lilly's love interest) has my anxiety (Let me help you) and Charlie has my self-harm, and Ben had my ADHD (Let me prove it)

Q: My ____ experience is different, change the story to make it more realistic.

No. Why? Because of everything I've talked about I have A: seen someone experience, or B: experienced myself. These characters may not be real but the experiences are. Don't downplay someone's experience and make them feel like they are less just because it wasn't your experience.

Q: None of them have birthdays.

Aha! I know. 😅 they do actually have them but I didn't know what to write. Let's go with Juliet is too consumed, Dalton doesn't like to celebrate his, and Cayden would rather focus on Juliet.

Q: What are their birthdays?

Juliet: September 26. She is a Capricorn

Cayden: November 6. He is a Scorpio.

Dalton: February 10. He is an Aquarius.

I based their birthdays on how well the signs get along and their struggles.
