As I enter the house, I can't help but think of what happened in here. In that room. Dad's room.

But I had to come back sooner or later. And the sooner the better.

I get Bolt out from the car and he runs into the house. I guess he missed it. Now it's just me and Bolt.

It's around 5:45 in the afternoon and I'm unpacking my clothes back into the cupboard of my room.

I come across the black dress that Dominic had gotten me and I start to remember what happened earlier today.

Dominic kissed me. And I kissed him back. I don't know what had gotten into him, or me.

All I know was that I enjoyed that kiss alot. It was like he was telling me not to leave.

I wonder if he also feels lonely, now that there's nobody to keep him company.

Who am I kidding, he probably has friends. Hell maybe he even has a girlfriend.

But if he did have a girlfriend, then why did he kiss me.

I plop onto my bed, too lazy to do anything. I think I'm just going to take nap. Maybe I'll slept until morning.

It's a Saturday tomorrow, which means I have to work. I have to be up by 7.

My job is part time , so my shifts change according to my schedule. I'm grateful that they gave me the job despite my availability.

I set my alarm, just incase I don't wake up in a few hours and close my eyes, trying to fall asleep. I sigh in comfort as I finally get some sleep.

The sound of my alarm blarred through my room. Groaning, I turn over to check the time. It's 5:30am. I finally woke up early.

After getting ready, I go down to the kitchen. I don't have to wear uniform or anything so I'm wearing a black leggings with a white top inside, and a light blue sweater.

I quickly make myself some cereal and gobble it up so I have extra time to play with Bolt.

Last night I heard scratcJusthing on my dad's door which is not so far away from mine. I knew it was Bolt looking for Dad. I don't want any paranormal shit in here when I'm all alone.

After playing with Bolt for a bit, I slip on my boots and head for the door.

Driving down the street, I notice the weather changed from earlier.

It's gone more windy and the tall tree are starting to sway with the breeze.

I pull over into the small parking lot in front of the bookstore and enter the door.

I greet the people and spot Cecilia. I run to her and say hello to her. Our shifts are similar since we're both college students.

"C'mon Ev, we have some books at the back to sort out" she rushes me like there's a tsunami behind me.

"Alright I'm coming" with a soft sigh, I follow her to the back of the aisle.

I like my job so far and it pays well but I'm not a fan of mornings. I hate having to wake up early, I always end up in a bad mood.

I walk to the aisle on the left while Cee works on the ones on the left.

As I'm arranging books I hear someone clear their throat behind me. I turn to look and freeze in my spot.

"H-hi?" It comes out more as question. He smiles and replys to me.
"Hello Evelyn" after that kiss we shared, I feel awkward near him so I don't say anything and wait for him to speak.
"I want to buy a book" he says curtly.

"That's what people come here for" I say and I see his lips curl upwards. He chuckles

"Do you have any recommendations?" I don't know what kind of book he's looking for so how can I recommend something.

"Uh, what genre are you looking for?" Dominic doesn't seem like a person who reads books. He looks more like a person who would search up 'ending explained' when he watches movies.

"Maybe drama..... mystery, what do you like Evelyn?" My name rolls off his tongue so easily and I swear I've never thought my name could ever sound so sexy.

"Uh I mostly read romance, I however, don't think you'd like it?" I could never picture Dominic as a romantic person.

"What, you think I'm not romantic?" I laugh at his statement. "You just don't seem like the type" this time he laughs.

"I guess I'd have to show you someday" he says, and with that he leaves to check out some other books.

What did he mean by that? He's have to show me what, how romantic he is?

I follow behind him, while he picks up a book, "what did you mean?" My curiosity at its peak.

"It means I'd have to take you out Evelyn..." He leans closer to my ear and continues "and show you how romantic I can be" shivers run down my spine and I shudder at his voice.

It's now around 6pm and we're getting ready to lock up the store. I stand outside the building to grab my car keys from my bag when a car pulls up in front of me.

The window rolls down and I see Dominic looking out at me. "Get in princess".

"Thanks Dominic but I have my car" I say. "Oh, no worries" he starts "Drive home and change your clothes, I'll see you there?" He's demanding me like I'm his child.

"Whatever" I roll my eyes and stroll to my car. Nobody tells me what to do

I pull up into the driveway of dad's house and see Dominic's car parked on the street in front of the house.

Climbing out of the car, I head to the drivers side of his car and notice he's not there.

"Boo!" I jump and turn around to see the fool laughing. Oh my god he's so childish.

"Oh god, you scared me" I tell him, trying to slow down my heartbeat.

"That was the plan don't you think" he arches his eyebrow. I playfully punch his hand and go to unlock the front door.

He follows me inside the house and plops himself on the couch.
"So why are you here?" I ask. "Just checking up on you, it's not everyday you see a seventeen year old living on her own" he says.

"So does that require me to change my clothes?" I ask playfully.

"I want to take you out" he says, almost pleadingly.

"As in, like a date?" I question. "Yeah kinda. I mean if you want to" he rubs the back of his neck.

"I'll be right back" I run upstairs to my room. And fall to my bed.

I think for a moment. What if he likes me too? I ask myself. It won't hurt to see how this night might turn out. Will it?

So here I am, standing in front of the floor length mirror in my room. I'm dressed in a black leggings and a tank top and white sneakers and my hair down covering my back and shoulders.

I open my door and head for the stairs...
