13. Fairytale Dance
'Maa, everyone were only looking at you two dance, and the people who were dancing, they also stopped because you two just stole the show. It was so beautiful.' Little Arohi said, as she extendedher arms to explain how beautiful it was and Naira chuckled. She had Arohi in one arm, Akshara on the other as they sat tiredly on the bed. 'My mamma pappa are the best.'
'Truly, Maa,' Akshara tilted her head, eyeing her tired yet pretty mom. 'You and papa are super cute together and your dance, is like a fairy tale.'
'Aww my beautiful princesses, you two are going to get your fairytale dances too.' Naira said, pouting at both her young daughters. While Arohi made a sour face, not wanting to dance with a boy because to her boys were nasty, Akshara kept mum, looking distantly elsewhere.
'Kya hua Akshu? Kya soch raha hai mera baccha?' Naira asked, cupping Akshara's face.
'Yahi, ki boys kitne gandhe hote hai. Yuck.' Arohi said instantly making both Akshara and Naira to chuckle. 'Main sirf Kairav bhaiya aur Papa ke saath hi dancekarungi. Every other boy sucks.'
'And you?' Naira raised her eyebrows at Akshara, the alwayslost soul, 'Aru apni story mein khud hi Prince bhi hai aur Princess bhi, aapko toh fairytale dance chahiye apne Prince ke saath?'
Akshara pouted, as she looked at Naira, 'How do I differentiate between a fairytale dance with the normal one?'
Naira chuckled, she knew the kids were smart enough to understand such questions, so she kept her hand on Akshara's chest, righton her beating heart. 'Ye jo tumhara fast running heart hai...' Akshara nodded, she hated her fast running heart, 'The time when you feel your heartbeats pacing slowly and magically, that would be your fairytale dance...'
Akshara always hated her racing heart. When she was a kid, she always worried about a lot of things, mostly school, or her siblings, sometimes when her parents fought, sometimes just for nothing. Her constant worrying, constantly stressed state made her anxious from a very small age. Of course this accelerated very fast when her parents died. Any time her heart raced, she would race to her parents room for safety, Naira would tell her stories, Karthik would hug her tightly and she'd be okay.
But after their deaths, she had no one but herself to do that and she couldn't.
Kairav had a lot of financial responsibility and Arohi was scared at start too, making Akshara to ignore her racing heart. All that ignoring, all that denial only lead her to this horrible state she was in right now and there was not one peaceful moment in her life.
