1964 |MIAMI, FLORIDA

Pedestrians in the Airport ran through
the massive area, trying to find their correct flight number, some than
most—grew frustrated with the
thick traffic.

It's an airport.

What do you expect?

One person wasn't frustrated,
her name was Aurora Johnson.

"Can you at least tell Summer
that we need more snacks for
First Class, I don't wanna hear
anymore complaints about not
having enough on this Flight."
Captain Issac announced, adjusting
his hat on top of his blonde crisp
hair. Aurora brown doe eyes
shift to his small chapped lips.

Walking on the side of him,
on the other side was Aurora's
cousin "Yasmine" as she called
her Yizzy Yaz for her nickname.

"Will do." Yasmine's Brooklyn
accent caressed through Issac
eardrum, she knew how to—
code switch. Meaning changing
her pronunciation, but with Issac
she didn't care to do so.

Issac was an irritating bastard. He
always thought he was on top of everything.

"I wasn't talking to you stay in your place."

Yasmine looked over her cousin,
before giving him an unpleasant
look. "First of all, you ain't gon'
keep disrespectin' me—"

"Yaz." She warned her. Being
Black in the sixties wasn't
pleasant, the only reason her
and her cousin gotten the job
was because of Summer.

"Yo, Fuck that."

All three stopped, Yasmins gave him
a look over before smirking like he
tried the wrong bitch. She wasn't
her little cousin, the kind of person
to let shit slide. She voiced hers.

"Can you at least, chill for me?"

"Check this white boy." She sounded
like she was about to spit out a verse,
truth be told Yaz knew how to Rhyme
her ass off and Aurora knew it. The
girl loved poetry.

Rap wasn't born yet in this time era,
in the the late 70's was when it found
a place. Yas was ahead of her time,
and she knew it when she wrote
rhymes on break.

"Airport. People." She hinted.
Her cousin still mean mugged him.
"We're colored people in the south,
Yas come on now." She didn't wanna
get in trouble over her high tempered cousin, see up North you could let
a back talk slide around white
people. Jim Crow laws were big
in the most southern part.

"You better listen to your cousin."
He threatened.

"Eat my pussy." She ignored him.
He would gladly eat it though.

Issac rolled his eyes, knowing she
like to bark like a fucking bitch
at the mouth. He wish he could
shut her pretty short ass up with
his dick. He found her attractive
as hell, he didn't wanna admit
it though.

You know her being colored and all.

Changing the subject the youngest
said, "Summer, we were just talking
about her right?" Aurora Grace
eyebrows knitted comfortably,
smoothing her red manicured
finger nails through the beautiful
fabric. "I think, she'll get on board
with the snacks Issac. So, there
shouldn't be an issue." Lightening
up the situation, standing in between
the enraged enemies.
