A Young Wizard's Journey - Philosopher's Stone (Hermione Granger X Male Reader)

Introduction

Hi all! Welcome to my story!

Before we jump right into the juicy bits I have some small things to cover so please do bear with me. I'll make it quick

First. This will be a 7-book series plus most likely a few bonus chapters for an epilogue. This is a Hermione X Male Reader fic. Expect plot, fluff, filler and slow burns. We're in this for the long haul. However if you're here for smut I'm afraid you may need to look elsewhere. The most you'll get from me is a fade to black. It's not my style. I find it awkward to write and I don't want to write it.

Second. I am first and foremost a storyteller and a dramatic one at that. What I mean by this is if you're coming here for a quick read or a sped-up movie adaptation in which you date Hermione. Again, wrong place. My stories are based off the books and follow the thread as close as it can be chapter by chapter. This does mean I steal dialogue from the book and repeat a lot of its existing scenes, but so does any good writer. We're all hacks. Any part it doesn't make sense for the MC to be in, I have come up with myself
As a continuation to the above point. THIS IS NOT A SHORT READ My shortest chapter so far is 3.2k words. With the longest clearing 7k. This is a passion project and a way to step out of my comfort zone and I am giving it everything I've got
I have also seen works in which people tell you what their characters look like with images and stuff.
I won't be doing that. You know what the characters look like and you know who and what you want your character to be. I'm only here to tell you what you do. Not what you look like

Thirdly. I am British. Meaning if I spell things weird, adding a U or S etc. Do not correct me. Or if you do with the American version of the spelling I will ignore it. It's nothing personal it just doesn't benefit a British writer to write like an American. This also means my speech marks are 'speech' instead of "speech" as the singular marker is correct for British fiction. Don't ask why. We're broken over here.

And finally. As of writing this. Philosopher's/Sorcerer's stone is finished and I am underway with Chamber of Secrets.
I will be uploading the first 4 chapters of book 1 immediately. Taking us through the MCs introduction, his first trip to Diagon Alley and his ride on the Hogwarts Express. Following that I will upload the new Chapter every Friday.
This allows me to take a break should I feel I need too without it directly affecting you guys as I still have chapters to upload. Should I finish writing book 2 before I've finished uploading book 1. I shall speed up book 1's uploads until it is complete then shall return to my normal schedule for 2 and so on. I will leave notes at the end of chapters to make you aware of this as it happens. Including the new schedule I will be uploading too if they increase

P.S I will be fully transparent with you guys wherever it is possible. If for any reason my uploads need to stop or I burn out I will tell you all. Keep your eyes peeled on my page and feel free to hit follow. I doubt it'll come to that so you don't have too if you fear me that much. But I promise I won't abuse your stalking powers by filling your notifications. And that's it! That wasn't so bad was it? So without further ado. Let's get into it. Enjoy!
