Lionel's POV

I hopped out of the car, trying to be a gentleman and open the door for Elaina. But before I could even make a move, she practically ripped it open herself and gave me a look that said, "Seriously, dude?" I couldn't quite figure out why she was ticked off. I mean, sure, I kidnapped her like a year ago, but that's old news.

I gave a little nod to my guards hanging by the double doors, signaling them to let us in. We strolled inside, and bam, there was Olivia.

"OMG, Lionel, I've missed you so much. Where were you?" she gushed.

"I was only gone for like two hours, so chill, Olivia," I said, glancing over at Elaina, who probably had a ton of questions by now. I was about to clue her in, but then Olivia's big mouth took over.

"Who's this?" Olivia asked, sounding kinda rude. "Hey, I'm Elaina. Nice to meet you. Mind telling me who you are?"

"I'm Lionel's girl-"

"Ex. She's my ex," I cut in, even though we're not really exes. But I guess Olivia still thinks we are? Then Olivia jumped in again. "I've told you a million times, Lionel, I'm not your ex, okay? i  haven't even heard you say, 'I'm breaking up with you.'"

"Oh, right, my bad. How could I forget that crucial detail? I totally spaced out on the fact that I supposedly broke up with you, like, a week ago," I retorted, laying on the sarcasm. Olivia and I had met at a bar. She asked if I was okay, and I said I was fine. Then she said I looked like I needed some company. After thinking about it for a sec, I said, "Sure, why not?" We started talking, and at some point, she suggested I take her back to my place. I agreed 'cause I was pretty sloshed and didn't really know what I was doing.

I brought her back to my place, and things started heating up, she started kissing me. We ended up in my room, but I had to stop her when she climbed onto my lap. "No, Olivia, I can't do this."

"Why not? You're the one who started kissing me," she argued.

"That's not how it happened. Can you please just leave my room?" I said, wanting to take a shower.

"Can I join you?" she asked, sounding suggestive.

"No, Olivia, just go."

From that day on, she seemed to think we were a couple. I didn't really care, so I played along until I finally told her I wanted to break up. Of course, she took it the wrong way.

"Anyway, Lionel, why did you bring her here?" Olivia asked, acting like she owned the place.

"I don't need to explain myself to you," I replied, getting annoyed.

"Well, Elaina, if you get too close to my man or touch him, you'll regret it," Olivia warned before leaving. "Don't pay any attention to her," I told Elaina.

"Yeah, how could I?" Elaina's voice was like a ray of sunshine, making everything better.

*Elainas POV*

Lionel showed me where my room was, and this house always confuses Me. When I escaped a year ago, I got lost that I almost gave up. But I ended up finding my way out.

"Ok, so this is your room, and if you need anything, my room is right ahead of yours" Lionel said "How come our rooms are the only ones here?" Come on i already knew the answer to that. He wanted us to be alone.

"Cause last year you escaped, and now I will be able to keep an eye on you" Lionel gave me a smirk. "What makes you think I would escape again?" i gave him those sweet innocent eyes. "Elaina I know you very well. even if i only knew you for two weeks" Lionel said
