Love hurts

Night has fallen over New York, and like every night in big apple, it promises lurid pleasure and titillating danger.

As i stand on the sidewalk, I glance at the time on my phone.

Lionel should be here soon.... I said in my head

Lionel Hernandez. The guy that I thought was an amazing person, but he ruined it like always. But I went out with him one more time and he asked me out like it was the first time.

And of course i had to say yes.....

Though I must say the rumors surrounding him sounded a little disturbing.

All I know is that he's a mystery guy with some deep secrets. But some say that he always hooks up with other girls.

I have to say..... I'm a little nervous. The possibility of him actually doing it with girls sucks. Like I thought I was his only one.

It makes me feel like I'm not the main. But why not give it a chance to this date.

Wait, is that a....?

A limousine slowly drives up to the sidewalk and comes to a halt. The driver exits the vehicle and opens the side door for me.

A limo, huh? That's certainly one way to Impress a lady. I said in my head

I take a deep breath and slip into the limo, the driver shutting the door behind me.

Inside the limo, Lionel scoots over as I take a seat next to him. He flashes me a grin and crosses one leg over the other.

"Why hello, baby girl." Lionel said

He wears that suit well, doesn't he? I said in my head.

His hoarse voice and subtle accent are as charming as I remember. My pulse races immediately.

"You look ravishing. It's a pleasure to see you again" Lionel said

He leans in, takes my hand gently, and planting a kiss on my knuckles. My thighs touch as I inhale the scent of his delicious cologne.

It's a scent that's Both dangerous and tantalizing. What a gentlemen.  A flirtatious smile slips across my lips as i pull back my hand.

The imprint of Lionel's kiss lingers on my skin. "The pleasure's all mine" I said "seems like you know a thing or two about sweeping a girl off her feet. First date, and your already picking me up in a limo"

"Should I have waited until the second one?" Lionel said. His playful tone and wink make me laugh. And I shake my head.

"Oh, you are a cheeky one, Mr. Hernandez" I said

The limo begins to move, and as I glance out the window I see two black cars with tinted windows following me.

"Huh?" I said "it's my personal escort Elaina. Don't be troubled by it." Lionel said

Easy for you to say....

I shift in my seat as Lionel opens a small built-in cupboard and takes out a bottle of chilled champagne along with two flute glasses.

"For you, my dear" Lionel said "thank you" I said back. I take one glass from Lionel's hand, and he places the other on the circular table in front of me.

The man pops open the cork.

Lionel pours some champagne on my glass. "For you, Bella" Lionel said "oh, thank you"
