Arvind and his assistant were conversing together as they stepped into the lift, the younger man perfects icy mask on place as he saw a group of female staffs who eyed him discreetly whilw his assistant discussed the next agenda with him as the lift was about to close.
" Stop!" A feminine voice shouted causing Arvind blink as his assistant quickly pressed the button to make the door open back. His icy persona slipped a little as he eyed Vasundhara who wore a silky cream coloured blouse tucked inside a black skirt and cream heels.
Vasundhara parted her lips softly as her eyes turned wide seeing Arvind inside the lift. She swallowed her saliva as her face turned as pink as a salmon, her right hand tucking her loose curly behind her ears as she stood agaisnt the wall, holding a blue box.
" What's that ?" Arvind asked causing the other female staff to raise their eyebrows, giving Vasundhara a heated look. Arvind's assistant furrowed her eyebrows as her easy smile slipped seeing her boss looking intently at the woman.
" Um samples Arv- Sir," Vasundara said, Arvind hide his smirk hearing her near slip while his assistant glanced sharply at the Vasundhara eying her outfit and tag.
" Chara's having client ?" Arvind asked, looking straight at the door while Vasundhara nod causing the man to glance at her.
" When she comes, tell my sister I want to have lunch with her," Arvind said causing Vasundhara to clear her throat.
" I am afraid Miss Chara is rather indisposed today Sir, she won't be coming to the office," Vasundhara said causing Arvind to raise his eyebrows as Vasundhara.
The lift opened at the same time and Kishan stepped inside, raising his eyebrows at Raghav before turning to his left. Kishan's smile widened and he walked towards the grinning Vasundhara, wrapping his hand around her shoulders and kissed her cheek.
" I am so happy you said yes," Kishan said softly to Vasundhara who smiled softly.
" Is Chara coming later ?" Kishan asked eying the box causing Vasundhara to giggle and shook her head.
" No mama er Sir-" Vasundhara said causing Kishan to chuckle and wave it off. The girl sighed and tucked her fringe back before informing that Chara is busy in with bakery and has to leave quietly early today thus Vasundhara in charge of handling a client. Kishan chuckled and told her that she can handle them causing Vasundara's smile to brightned.
" So who will be joining you for lunch ?" Kishan asked Vasundhara who shrug and told him that she would grab some bread on the way.
Kishan furrowed his eyebrows and shook his head. He turned around and gave Arvind a stern look, informing him that Vasundhara will be having lunch with Arvind. The rest of the female staffs looked like they ate a sucked on a lemon while Arvind's assistant gave him a wide look, utterly stunned when Arvind nod.
" But boss you-" the woman said causing Arvind to shrug his shoulder and asked her to clear his lunch schedule.
" Wait for me at the lobby precisely 1pm," Arvind stated and walked away when the lift door opened.
Kishan shook his head and patted the girl who sighed and gave a small smile. The man nod his head at her and walked away when the lift arrived at his floor.
Vasundhara exhaled her breath, pursing her lips when the rest of the crowd gave her various look as they exited at each floor.
" This is how Chara must have felt...when we judged her," Vasundhara muttered under her breath as she leaned against the wall as the waited to reach her floor.
Vasundhara exhaled her breath loudly as she reached the floor. She nod at the receptionist and the general staff as she placed the box on the desk. She then began explaining their role today when the client comes before walking back to her designed cubicle.
Vasundhara checked on the emails and responded to the important queries before checking on the account tally.
When the client came at precisely 12 pm, Vasundhara along the other two staff greeted the pair of mother and daughter before beginning to discuss on their event as they showed the samples to the clients who tasted it.
Vasundhara diligently noted the changes that the clients wants on the dessert that they choose before giving out her suggestions. The discussion lasted an hour and Vasundhara shook the mother's hand assuring that she will sent the requirements to the person in charge of baking.
She nod at the other staffs and told them to have their lunch as she grabbed her purse and briskly walked into the lift alongside the other two staff.
Her eyes widened as she saw Arvind sitting on the lobby, glancing at his Swiss watch while his assistant gave her a queer look when she rushed towards Arvind ignoring the stunned look of her own colleagues.
" Sorry the meeting-" Vasundhara panted and stopped when Arvind stood up briskly and gave her an intent look.
" Will be late if we continued to dally, Western is OK for you?" Arvind asked Vasundhara who nod her head. The man nod and wore his black shades and walked away with Vasundhara hurrying next to him while his assistant followed in a closed pace.
Vasundara's eyes widened as the sleek black car stopped infront of her favourite Western restaurant. She looked at Arvind who gave a nonchalant glance before stepping out of the car. Vasundhara beamed and got out before walking into the restaurant.
The pair dined quietly and awkwardly alone after many years since Vasundara's unnecessary accusation agaisnt Arvind's sister figure.
