Chapter 17

Yeji's PoV

I woke up at 8:45 am with a terrible headache. I must've fallen asleep crying. Then I remembered yesterday. Wow. I hurt Ryujin. I feel so bad. I hurt the person when all she ever does is treat me right. Beomgyu is just a friend and I told Ryujin that I would pick her if ever I'd ever received a question who matters more. I'm such a hypocrite.

"Yeji!" I looked at the person who peeked on my door

"N-Nayeon," I said when she gave me a cold gaze

"What are you still doing there? Get your ass up. Ryujin and Jeongyeon will be here anytime now," She said and she sat on my bed as I am still lying down

"Where are we going?" I asked

"I thought Ryujin told you? You have a date today! She just asked Jeongyeon to drive you there since it's on the way," Nayeon answered

"Date? S-she's mad at me, unnie," I told her as I covered my eyes with my arm

"Everyone's mad because of what you did, Yeji," She coldly replied

"But Ryujin told them not to be mad because Beomgyu's also your friend. She understood what you did," Nayeon continued talking

I sat beside her. She was looking at me with a smile.

"Ryujin is very understanding, Yeji. Just give her time. You hurt her. It's normal for her not to talk to you," Nayeon comforted me and I smiled weakly

I got ready and when I finished, they were already waiting for me for half an hour. When I went out, Ryujin was leaning on Jeongyeon's car and she was playing with her crutch.

"Hey, Yeji!" Jeongyeon greeted and Ryujin immediately stood properly

She approached me. I have no idea. What should I do? Should I hug her or should I just wait for her to talk to her?

"I know we're not in good terms but I don't want to waste Nayeon's effort," She coldly said and she walked back in the passenger's seat

"Just hang in there," Nayeon said and she patted my back

I took a deep breath. This is gonna be harder than I thought. Between Ryujin and I, she's the one who can't stand talking to me. So, it will always be her to apologize but today's case is different. Jeongyeon started driving and we were just talking if we find something interesting to talk about. While Ryujin is just silent, she's just looking outside or just sleeping.

"Where are we going?" I asked

"You'll find out, Yeji. You have to just wait," Nayeon said while smiling

"Yeah, you should just enjoy it. Ryujin has been bugging Nayeon nonstop just for Nayeon to help her!" Jeongyeon stated

"She spent a lot of time for this but we're not even talking," I replied bitterly

"Ryujin is not mad at you, Yeji. She's just hurt," Jeongyeon told me and I nodded

I just closed my eyes and I slept.

"Yeji! Wake up, we're here!" I felt a shrug on my shoulders

I looked at Nayeon who was waking me up and I looked around. I know this! We're in Jeonju! My hometown! I smiled when I realized where we are. We are in front of our house!

"I'm sorry if we won't greet your family, Yeji since Nayeon and I still have to go somewhere," Jeongyeon apologized

"But Ryujin is there with you!" Nayeon said and I looked at Ryujin who was outside with a backpack behind her

I hugged Nayeon but before I let her go. She whispered something

"Make this weekend getaway memorable," and I nodded before letting her go
