~Madeleine POV~
Sunday.
One more day until we have to do another whole week of school.
I decide to walk down to the village for something to drink or something.
A cup of coffee sounds pretty good right now... I mean, it's still morning-
"Madeleine!" A voice runs up behind me.
"Sam...!" I turn slowly, forcing a smile.
I swear, this girl is stalking me or something.
"Look, about yesterday..." Sam starts to say.
"Oh, yeah. I'm sososososososo sorry about that! I wasn't myself, I don't know what-"
"Oh, yeah! I know your a nice guy, it's my fault, I shouldn't have just popped out that question out of nowhere!" Sam giggles.
I chuckle awkwardly.
I know she forgave me, but I still feel bad for snapping at her...
"Going out for coffee?" She asks.
"Hm? Oh, yeah!" I say, snapping back to reality.
"Mind if I come with?" She asks.
"Well-"
Before I get to finish my sentence, Sam grabs my hand and runs to the coffee shop.
It's obviously packed since it's still morning.
Sam drags me to the line by my hand.
"So..." Sam starts to say. "You going to Homecoming?"
"Hm? O-oh, uh... I dunno."
"Oh." Sam replies. "Well, I REALLY want to go, too bad I don't have anyone to go with..."
She looks up at me, looking like she was waiting for me to say something.
Oh no.
I know what she wants out of me...
She wants a better apology from what happened yesterday!
Maybe I can pay for her coffee?
Yeah, that should make it up...
After a couple minutes, it's finally our turn to order.
"I'll have a black coffee please!" Sam says.
"I'll have an espresso." I tell the cashier.
Sam starts to take out her wallet.
"Oh, I can pay!" I quickly say.
"Really? Thanks, Madeleine! You're such a peach!"
Great! I bet she accepts my apology now!
We get our coffee and head outside.
It was pretty foggy this morning to pretty much no one was outside.
"So, now that we're alone..." Sam starts to say.
"Sorry, I gotta run!" I quickly say.
