Today's a new day. I began feeling more motivated to get to school so I could go to the guy's theatre committee afterwards. I don't know why... but I'm excited to help out in something. If I can even be a little help, it'd be worth it.
I had to walk to school, since I didn't have much transportation options. I have a bike, but I feel like getting some walking exercise... or I'm just too lazy to get my bike out of the chains I tied it in to keep it safe. I rarely get lazy... so it may not be the case.
After I finally reached the school, I looked around. I didn't make any friends within' the school, nor out of the school. I had an old friend once, but they left the school years ago and I don't make contact with the other students much.
I began to continue walking so I can get to the entrance of the school until I bumped into someone. That's what I get for not looking where I'm going. I looked up and there was standing a boy who he never met before. Does he go to this school? Maybe not... because he looks like he has a really wealthy family... The boy had black hair, like the night sky. He was wearing a school uniform which he had not recognized and was wearing a backpack, like he was on his way to his school too. "Ah~ I'M SO SORRY FOR BUMPING INTO YOU-- I WASN'T LOOKING WHERE I WAS GOING--"
"You're loud." The boy said as he looked over at my school. "Is... Is this the school you go to?"
"Y-yes..." I hesitated.
"Looks old and small. Honestly, I don't think even peasants with low mana would even go here."
That statement hurt me hard. I have no magic power... not even a drop. And if this guy finds out, then I'm in big trouble. He looks like someone right out of a palace... someone really handsome. He definitely belongs to a rich family. "I..."
But before I could speak, the boy interrupted. "I don't sense a drop of mana on you, you sure it's there?"
I stopped for a moment. Then I replied, "Then I'm probably hiding it...?" Such a dumb lie. There's no way someone like me has the power to hide mana even if I was born with magic power.
"Or... Maybe you have magic too low that not even someone like me can sense it." The boy said. So he's never heard of a magicless kid before? That's good...
"Probably...?" I answered.
"Anyways, you're standing in my way. I need to get to my school as fast as possible. I doubt I'll ever see you again, so bye." Said the boy as he walked away past me. Kind of rude how he started a conversation and didn't even introduce himself. It would be nice to know his name... but he clearly doesn't like me and is trying not to show it by being Mr. Cool.
"That conversation went nowhere." I mumbled but then walked up to my school entrance. I opened the door and began a new day.
Since my school has many people who have low mana in it and are poor, no one tends to notice my non-existent mana. They just carry on with their day and aren't as alert as people with higher mana outside of the school. It'll stay my secret... for now at least.
