"That no one ever accomplishes anything by giving up! I'm going to work as hard as I can for you guys, and that's how I'll succeed!"

It was still my first day there. I walked until a familiar voice spoke, "Oh! There you were!"

I looked to see the same guy who hired me to the job. "Oh hello."

"I see you've met my subordinates. You can help them out if they need anything, you know."

"Oh sure."

"Oh yeah, I forgot-- may you please get 15 copies of this paper? I really need them. The copy-machine should be at back by the bathroom." He handed me a sheet of paper with information on it.

"Of course." I walked off with the sheet of paper towards the room with the copy-machine.

"You're what?!" I was shook by the tone of Magna's voice. "You can't reschedule it now! That's why we were taking the job slow this whole time!" Turns out he was on the phone. There was a few second pause before he continued speaking. "There's no way we can get the whole thing finished by the first of January at this rate! And who cares if everything's slow right now! And you're going to shorten the amount of time Luck and I have to finish our part?!" Another few seconds. "Alright..." His voice calmed down more but he still sounded irritated. "Call me back at 8." He hung up and placed his phone back in his pocket. He then sat in a chair that was beside him and placed his hands on his face and sat for a while, as if he was contemplating something.

I set the paper down on top of the copy machine and approached him. Maybe I could comfort him somehow...? "Hey uh... Magna sir... if you don't mind me asking... what happened?"

He raised his head to look at me. "Our deadline got rescheduled... to an earlier date. We have to work faster now, which is going to be much more stressful. We've been procrastinating a bit too much without knowing this would happen."

"They did what?!" Luck, who heard what Magna said from across the room, walked over to them.

"Luck, go and tell the choreographer to hurry it up. And make sure to get the lighting all figured out on your own. I'll finish the blueprint as you do that since you gave me your ideas so I'll figure something out. Things will go faster that way." Magna told him.

"Oh ok! What day did they reschedule the deadline to?" Luck tilted his head.

"December 20th..."

"WHAT?! That's too soon! I guess we'll have to get speedy then!" Luck dashed out through a door across the room. I was amazed by his speed but knew it was explainable.

"I'll go print 15 copies of this paper..." I said, as I began walking away back towards the copy-machine.

I was stopped by Magna. "Hey... uh... may I ask you a favor?"

I turned to look at him. "Yeah?"

"We need this project done quickly so you could help Luck if he needs any."

"Sure." I nodded and then headed back towards the copy-machine. I made sure to get 15 raw copies of the paper and walked over to hand it to the boss. "Here you go." I said.

"Oh, that's perfect. Thank you." He nodded and grabbed the papers from me. "You're very useful, you know."

"Oh, thank you, sir!"
