"So," Marsh began, "Did you two break up yet?" I sighed, grabbing my bag from my locker. "I'm working on it," I said. "Just tell him you don't have feelings anymore," Marsh said, shrugging. "Easy for you to say. You just got in a relationship with MY help." Marsh backed up a little after I slammed my locker. "Never mind. Take your time I guess," He said.
I sat in class, playing a game on my phone. Honey walks up to me and peaks over my shoulder. I continue to play the game. "You suck," Honey says after I die in the game. I sigh, "What do you want?" Honey sits in the chair next to me, "I just wanted to know what happened." "Nothing happened," I said. "You didn't do it?" Honey asks. "No, I tried, but," I began, "I just couldn't." Honey gets up, "Okay then." She walks back to her seat and pulls her phone out of her bag. She then goes over to the windowsill and leans on it, staring at the buses lined up beside the sidewalk. Marsh is talking to some of the other boys that are sitting on the floor and playing on their phones. Might as well text him now. I pulled up discord and switched to his DMs. I began to type, but then deleted the message. Later.
"Third floor and second floor bus riders are now dismissed," The principal announced. Almost all of the remaining kids ran out the door, including me. As usual, Honey met up with one of her friends and Marsh still continued to gather his things in the classroom. I walked/ran down the stairs as fast as I could. I stopped as I heard someone's voice say, "Liz!" I stopped walking and turned around. He walked up to me and hugged me, "Hi." I sighed, "I need to tell you something." "What is it?" He asked, letting me go. "We should break up. I'm just not ready for a relationship at the moment. We can still be friends if you want," I said all at once. He nodded, "That's fine with me. Just know I'll always love you," He smiled. "I'll see you tomorrow," I said. "Bye," He said. I turned back around and found my bus. I got on and in my assigned seat. Not long after, I saw Honey and her friend walking towards the bus. Once she got on, I got out of the seat to let her sit near the window. I scooted back into the seat, "I finally did it."
