"So what are you doing later?" I asked Lamiris. We were on the bus, finally going home. "I was going to play some Minecraft. I have some stuff to do in a server," she said. "Like killing your dog?" I asked. She shook her head and rolled her eyes. "No, other important stuff," she said. "Okay, okay," I said, looking back out the window. "It's gonna be so cold! I don't want to go outside," Lamiris complained. "Oh well," she said, pulling her book bag closer to her chest. "Oh well," I repeated. Lam looked so upset and nervous. I wasn't going to mention anything to her about it, but I was still concerned.
The bus came to a halt. I swung my bag behind me and waved back to Honey. I got off of the bus and raced down the street. I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket multiple times. I ripped it out of my pocket and turned it on. I saw several texts from Marsh some were in lowercase letters while others were in all capital letters. I put my password in and opened discord. "You home yet? I'm nervous. HELLO? I can't do this," some of the messages read. "I'm almost home," I texted back. Not even a minute goes by before I receive a call from Marsh. I answer the call, hoping he's not freaking out like yesterday. "Hello?" I say as I hold the phone to my ear. I could hear his breathing over the phone. It was so loud and distorted on my end. It sounded so frantic, as if he were panicking minutes before calling. "What do I-I do?" Marsh asked, his voice sounding shaky. I sighed, "I don't know. I suggest not doing it over text though." He sniffled, "So tomorrow? Tomorrow I'll do it?" I began walking up my driveway, staring at my shoes. "If that's what you think is best," I said, stepping onto the grassy part of the yard, guarded by bricks. He sighed, "Okay then. I'll do it tomorrow at the end of the day," I stepped onto a cement step and opened the thin metal door, "Alright then."
