if i could save you like the moon,
keep you tirelessly shining upon
the earth's dying moors,
and watch in hasty patience-
the slow filling of your crescent,
i know, you have grown,
and i wish i could hold you,
the sundress is pale & cold too,
but the world needs it every day,
when does the light of the eclipse dim?
forever and ever, is just our whim.
