i used to love the
lavender seas,
i was craving the lies
of the blue pictures clicked
in my gallery,
when the horizon met
with the sun's aching need
for a touch of the sea's fidelity,
i was standing on a one-way
road when i felt that orange
sunset i heard about back at home,
and that moment painted me ambrose.

we were a modern
day winter lore,
beautiful, but yet so cold-
and i remember you to be a wind-chime gushing quietly
out of my life,
i felt homesick for the
things i've learned to deny,
i was seated in a long
airplane aisle thinking
i'm fleeing my world
that once had-been,
but all i saw were soft
unmarked graves falling
on each other's place,
and the seven year old child
in me knew something had changed.

the delicate flowers that
you keep in your books to
decorate died for being too
beautiful for your sake,
their fragrance lingers for a few days,
until the mourning stench of
a broken heart makes it fade,
a celestial landscape is burning
down as we speak, it was just too
beautiful for one galaxy,
but there are stars in this sky
our city could never see,
so i'll turn a blind eye &
let them breathe in,
the ensue of a life without
Adam's children.

when innocence is just
as much to blame,
i see rainbows melting
into clear water rain,
and when strangers side-eye
the seven year old crying child
who has lost his way,
it's a one-way road,
no one waits,
i didn't know this until
it was too late,
i was standing on a
one-way road to a world
that was burning ambrose.

ambrose like fire, sunsets and love.
