The three of them walked into the room, failing to notice Josh walk in after them to listen in. Thor and Ash had been completely unaware of the kid spying on them earlier.
"You wanna think about removing yourself from this environment, Doctor?" Natasha asked Bruce.
"I was in Calcutta, I was pretty well-removed." Bruce retorted.
"Loki is manipulating you." Natasha warned.
"And you've been doing what exactly?" He sassed.
"You didn't come here because I batted my eyelashes at you." She said.
"Yes, and I'm not leaving because suddenly you get a little twitchy. I'd like to know why SHIELD is using the Tesseract to make weapons of mass destruction." Bruce said.
"Because of him." Fury replied, pointing at Thor.
"Me?" Thor questioned in confusion.
"Last year, Earth had a visitor from another planet who had a grudge match that leveled a small town. We learned that not only were we not alone, but that we were hopelessly, hilariously outgunned." Fury explained.
"My people want nothing but peace with your planet." Thor snapped.
"But what about Nicotine's people? Agent Stark is a host for a symbiote, these aliens consume people, and according to him, they can destroy and devour entire civilisations. That isn't something SHIELD wants for Earth, not to mention that there's not only the symbiotes but other people out there." Fury explained.
