"Don't come any closer, I'm a monster. If I remotely touch you, you'll get hurt," Jeongyeon stumbled backwards, an attempt to get away from the woman in front of her. "You're not a monster, Jeong. Please, just let me help you." The woman tried to console Jeongyeon, her voice laced with a smooth, liquid-like tone. She took a step closer, a hope to not see the older woman step back once more. "I'm not scared of who you are and what your abilities are."

"You should be, just please, don't get any closer," Jeongyeon's voice strained with pain, a tear strayed down her cheek as her back hit the wall. "Let me help you, Jeongyeon. I won't touch you." The woman held her hands behind her back, with a slight turn Jeongyeon could see her hands intertwined together. "Fine, how are you going to help me?" She wiped the tear that collected at the bottom of her jawline, a glare sent to the woman across from her. "Follow me, I have a few elixirs that I'd like for you to try."

The two women made their way through the bustling crowd full of the townsfolk. Eventually, (Y/n) turned around to make sure that Jeongyeon was still following her, though the woman was no where to be seen. She frantically began to search the crowd of people that gathered in the square, (Y/n) searched and searched, and called the woman's name in hopes of finding Jeongyeon.

"Jeongyeon!" (Y/n) had shouted once more as she pushed through the crowds. Finally, she found the woman she had been searching for, for what felt like an eternity. "I'm sorry, I didn't know where to go. It was really crowded and I didn't want to touch anyone accidentally." Her knees were tucked up to her chest, her arms enveloped her long limbs as she looked up at her friend. "Come on, I'll make sure to keep you safe."

The two women cascaded through the crowd, (Y/n) gave directions as to where Jeongyeon needed to go, and the woman listened intently. They walked up to a medieval styled building, the panels by the doors covered in tangled vines and plants. "This is your house?" Jeongyeon questioned as she turned back at (Y/n). "Something like that, yeah." (Y/n) opened the door for her friend and entered behind her. "It's very well-kept," Jeongyeon commented as she hoped to get closer to (Y/n). "Thank you. You can make yourself at home while I go bring those elixirs out. Maybe alleviate that curse even just a little bit."

Jeongyeon sat down in a chair, crossed her legs, and waited for the woman to cascade back into the room and lit it back up with her beautiful features. She had been insecure about her curse from a young age, Jeongyeon had to be wary of what she touched or else it would die. Jeongyeon had always insisted that she wasn't bothered by her curse, especially to her friend whose she's grown to love deeply, but (Y/n) was always looking for solutions.

"I'm back!" (Y/n) set down a tray of different colored solutions onto her dining table. "Which one looks more appealing?" Jeongyeon's eyes ran over the assortment of liquids, assessed each color, and randomly chose one. "This red one here," Her finger barely skimmed the glass exterior of the bottle, a burn formed on the woman's fingertip. (Y/n) took note of the burn that formed and poured her a glass. "Whenever you're ready to drink it." Jeongyeon threw the drink back, cringing at the taste and sudden burning feeling. "It's burns."

"That should be good," (Y/n) paused as she wrote down the results, "Touch this." She held out a plant towards Jeongyeon. The woman touched a single leaf of the plant, an immediate effect that caused it to turn brown and wilt. "Okay, we'll let that settle for about ten minutes and continue from there." A sigh escaped Jeongyeon's mouth, "How long are we going to have to do this for?"

"Hopefully, not for long. By the looks of it, we should be done sooner rather than later," (Y/n) looked down at her notes with a grin. "Why are you so infatuated with curing me?" Jeongyeon questioned as she hoped for an answer that suit her tastes. "You've been cursed for so long, and with something that you can't help. I want to make sure you can experience life like everyone else does, because life is a lot different whenever you're able to touch things without killing them."

"But what if these don't work?" Jeongyeon nodded over at the elixirs to signal she was talking about them. "It's all trial and error, Jeong. There's always going to be guaranteed that it might not work," (Y/n) looked down at her lap with a sigh. "Though those burns that you didn't say anything about, the one on your finger and that feeling when you drank it, it's all good signs." Jeongyeon looked at her friend with a grin, "Well, let's see if it worked, it's been almost ten minutes, right?" (Y/n) nodded and allowed Jeongyeon to touch another plant's leaves. This time, nothing happened and the leaf ricocheted back to its original position. "Did it work?"

"I have no clue," (Y/n) stared at the plant blankly, a smile crawled onto her face slowly as she realized what had happened. Jeongyeon reached out to touch (Y/n)'s face, the woman stayed still to see if Jeongyeon would make contact with her. She waited for Jeongyeon's slim fingers to brush against her cheek, though nothing happened. "It's okay to be scared, Jeong. I'm scared too if that makes you feel any better," (Y/n) whispered as she hoped to console the woman who was so close to touching her.

Finally, Jeongyeon's hand makes contact with (Y/n)'s cheek as she brushed it gently. Silence enveloped the two women as if they anticipated something to happen. "It worked!" (Y/n) jumped up from her seat with the largest grin. Jeongyeon flinched her hand away from (Y/n). She stood from the seat and enveloped (Y/n) into a tight hug. "I can finally do this," She muttered underneath her breath. "Do what?" (Y/n) questioned her friend, pulling away from the hug to make eye contact with Jeongyeon.

Jeongyeon pressed her lips against (Y/n)'s, a haste motion that surprised both of them. (Y/n) pulled their bodies closer together, no space had been left between the two as the intimate moment progressed. Jeongyeon pulled away from the kiss with the largest grin, "Thank you for hopefully curing me permanently." (Y/n) laughed and rested her head on Jeongyeon's shoulder, "I would do it again if I had to."
