Meeting

Marcel stared down at the quarter from the balcony as he drank his bourbon, contemplating this new threat.

'Mara... just who is she?'

Klaus came up from behind him and spoke up, "Trouble in paradise?"

"I don't understand this Mara woman, she's killing off my guys at every turn and I can't catch her." Marcel said.

"Well perhaps you should try and work it out over dinner, make her your friend." Klaus said sarcastically.

Suddenly one of Marcel's men came up to him causing both him and Klaus to cock their heads at the man.

"It's the docks, a warehouse down there was attacked, we think it's the woman you were talking about." He said which immediately made Marcel's face drop.

"Wanna play investigator?" Marcel asked turning his head to Klaus. Who just smirked and the two of them walked together.

"The door just exploded out of nowhere, I mean we're talking thousands of pounds of metal just boom." One of Marcels men said as they arrived to see the pieces of metal all over the ground.

Inside where workers cleaning up the floor which had shattered glass all over it, they just looked at Klaus and Marcel oddly.

"They're awfully quiet." Klaus said to Marcel.
"Let's fix that."

Klaus walked over to one of the workers and grabbed the nape of their neck looking into their eyes.

"What happened?" Klaus asked.

"I...I don't know." The worker said and Klaus furrowed his brows together, he realized that he couldn't get inside of the mans head.

Marcel and Klaus looked at each other with curiosity and equal worry.

Upstairs they both heard a ruckus and quickly followed up the stairs that lead to the noise that got louder with every step they took.

"I'm telling you I don't know what happened!" The man said to the woman questioning him.

"Excuse me", Klaus started "Forget you asked him these questions, you were never ordered to ask him these questions." Klaus said as the woman's pupils dilated before returning back to normal.

"Hey that's a nasty dent you got in that wall." Marcel said pointing to the place where the man had previously been held against by Mara.

"Uh yeah I don't know how that got there." The man said with a gulp.

"Are you sure I mean that's a pretty bad bruise you got on the back of your neck there chap." Klaus said pulling down the collar of the mans shirt from behind.

"Why don't you tell me what really happened here." Marcel said leaning down to compel the man to tell him.

"I don't know." The man said as his pupils dilated.

Klaus and Marcel exchanged looks before Marcel stood back up and turned around signaling to his guys that they were leaving.

"Hey Marcel, you're gonna wanna check this out." One of Marcels guys said showing him a photo of a ransacked warehouse.

"You think it's her again?" The vampire asked.

"Probably." Marcel started standing up with a sigh. "But from today I can tell that even when she makes it obvious she did something she never leaves behind a witness that has any memories." He concluded.
