Prologue part 2: aster

As Aster neared the end of the path, he came across three other pokemon. It seemed that the four of them have arrived at the same time.

???: What an interesting sight

the inteleon had a smirk on their face

???: I suppose we should introduce ourselves

???: I'll start

???: I'm Angler, ultimate guide.

???: the names Aqua, and I am the ultimate spy.

Aster: I'm Aster, the ultimate gardener.

???: I don't remember my name or ultimate, but yall can call me Metang

Angler: how do you not remember your name?

Angler: I get not remembering your ultimate but your name?

Aqua put a hand on the lanturn's back

Aqua: we shouldn't question him Angler

Angler: right, Sorry Metang.

But Metang didn't hear them. The iron claw pokemon was spinning in place.

Aster: um, Metang?

Metang was still spinning.

Metang: don't worry I can still hear you

Metang: I spin like this when I'm stressed.

Angler: oh.

Angler: sorry for stressing you out Metang.

Metang: It's fine I'm used to this.

Aster: ur used to being stressed?

Angler: that's not a good thing Metang

Metang: I know, but-

Metang: spinning is easier than dealing with it.

Aqua: we'll deal with that later, but for now,

Aqua: how did we all get here?

Aster: I was taking a nap under an oak tree when a scream woke me up

Angler: I heard a scream as well

Aqua: me too.

Metang: that's odd-

Metang: I didn't hear anything.

Aster: how didn't you hear it?

Aqua: It was very loud.

Metang: I don't know I just didn't hear it

Aqua: hmm

Aqua seemed to be deep in thought

Aster could make out a smirk on his face

Aqua: you must be lying

Metang: I-I'm not lying

Metang started frantically spinning

Metang: w-why would I lie about that?

Angler: Aqua, you said not to question him and now you're accusing him of lying?

Aqua: It should be obvious to you that he's lying

Aqua: It's impossible not to hear that scream.

Angler: It's also impossible to forget your own name but he did that.

Aster: (oh no)

Aster: guys.

Aqua: I'm just saying Angler-

Angler: no, Aqua

Aster: guys?

Aqua: who knows if we can trust him.

Angler: He seems pretty trustworthy to me

Aqua: weren't you the one questioning him?

Aqua pointed an accusing finger at Angler.

He was right but even so-

Aster: GUYS!

Angler and Aqua turned to look at him

Angler + Aqua: what?

Aster: we shouldn't argue

Aster: that's how we end up dying.

Metang spun faster,

Metang: d-dying?

Aster: y-yeah

Aster: anything could happen at this point

Metang: idontwannadie idontwannadie

Metang was whispering to himself

He looked terrified

Angler: calm down Metang

Angler tried to reassure him, she spoke softly but surely

Angler: we're gonna be okay

Metang had slowed down a little

He hadn't stopped spinning and his breathing was still fast but he looked calmer

Metang: a-are you sure Angler?

Angler: of course I'm sure

Angler: if anything happens-

Angler: the four of us are going to survive!

Angler turned to Aster and Aqua

Angler: right guys?

Aqua: hmph

Aqua: of course we're gonna live.

Aster: hell yeah!
