Growing Up Apart (Discontinued)

chapter one

It had been a few months since Kion and Nala had been welcomed to the tree of life (three months, Kion looks like he does in season one of the lion guard)

In this time Kion had become great friends with the prince and princess of the tree of life, Baliyo and Rani

Kion and Rani were almost always together, if you wanted to find Rani, you just needed to find Kion and vice versa, 

Rani was a young lioness, the same age as Kion

Rani had reddish-brown fur and a dark brown stripe running down her back, Rani's underbelly is a brownish-cream colored, the same brownish-cream color is present under her eyes, Rani's eyes are chocolate brown in color 

Baliyo is a young male lion (younger than Kion and Rani) 

Baliyo has dark brown fur, with a creamy brown underbelly. His large hair tuft is dark greyish-brown, with darker and lighter stripes running through it. Baliyo has pale yellow sclerae, with dark blue irises 

Kion, Rani, and Baliyo were incredibly close friends, though Baliyo sometimes prefers to spend time by himself, more often than not Kion, Rani, and Baliyo were always around each other  

Currently, our trio are making their way around the different environments at the Tree of life 

Starting at the tree of life where Kion meet up with Rani and Baliyo, our trio then made their way towards the bamboo forest, then they made their way through the marshy area, then made their way towards the main water source in the tree of life, a large lake 

The trio of lions splashed around for a bit before continuing on their adventure 

the trio made their way through the frosty forests of the snow mountains, after making their way off the snowy mountain the three lions made their way through the small dessert area before reaching their final stop, The mountain pass.

Kion, Rani, and Baliyo were walking past the Mountain pass when they heard multiple growls 

Kion was the first to react, turning towards the growls, he saw a group of four lions heading through the mountain pass, and these lions did not look friendly

Kion: Rani, Baliyo, go get my mother, Surak and Nirmala 

Rani: Kion, what are you going to do 

Kion looked back towards the lions and saw them getting closer to the entrance to the tree of life, he turned back towards Rani

Kion: I don't know, I know I can't fight them, but I might be able to stall them 

Rani: Kion, be safe 

Kion nods his head, as Rani and Baliyo run to find Nala, Surak, and Nirmala

Kion turns back towards the approaching group of lions and takes a deep breath, observing them 

The lead one, a male, with a red mane and gold-ish fur

the other three, females, with either tan or light-brown fur

Kion walks towards the entrance to the tree of life, right when the approaching group arrives, the group stopped when they saw Kion 

Lioness 1: It's a cub 

Kion face remained blank, just staring and observing 

Lioness 2: should we take him with us

Male lion: Just grab him, we don't have time for this

one of the lionesses moved forward to grab Kion

Kion reacted faster than the lioness expected (she also didn't expect the cub to react)

Kion moved out of the way before swatting at the lionesses eye

Lioness 2: why you little

the lioness swung her paw at Kion, only for him to jump over it, then right as his hind legs touched the ground he sprang right back up, hitting the lioness in the jaw with his head 

the lioness stumbled backward, shaking her head before growling at Kion, who growled right back 

before the two could reengage their fight, a large paw hit Kion in the side, sending him tumbling back 

Kion was still struggling to get up when a shadow loomed over him

Kion looked up at the figure observing what he can of the lion's face. The lion had red eyes, a red mane, and gold fur 

The lion Growled

Male Lion: who do you think you are, attacking us 

Kion just growled at the lion and positioned his hind legs so they were pressed against the opposing lion's chest, and with a quick kick, Kion pushed himself out from under The larger lion and rolled back onto his feet 

The three lionesses moved up beside the male ready to fight

Kion took a deep breath, calming himself 

Kion: What do you want from our home

Lioness 3: why should we answer a stupid cub 

Kion growled again, lowering into a fighting stance 

The opposing Lions did the same when new voices were heard 

Kion looked to where the sound was coming from and saw, Rani, Baliyo, Queen Jana, Surak, Nirmala, and Nala running in his direction 

Kion let out a sigh of relief, only to quickly jump to the side as one of the lionesses pounced at Kion 

Kion continued jumping out of the way of the lioness's attack as Surak and Nirmala joined in, Surak handling the male and Nirmala handling one of the lionesses. Queen Jana and Nala stay back to Protect Rani and Baliyo (Kion can handle himself and Simba has not noticed nala)

Kion kept dodging and jumping out of the way of the lioness's attacks, gaining enough distance between them that he is able to look around. Kion sees Surak and Nirmala handling themselves just fine.

Kion jumped out of the way of another attack and finally noticed something was off... Only two of the lionesses were fighting. Where was the third?

Kion's question was answered in the form of the final lioness tackling him to the ground, sinking her claws into his side. Kion yelled in pain as blood started to leak from the wounds.

Lioness 3: not so tuff now are you 

Kion glared at the Lioness

In a quick movement Kion sank his teeth into the lionesses front leg. The lioness lept away from Kion, blood leaking from her injured leg

Kion was about to start attacking when the original lioness that was attacking him lept towards him and before he could react she sank her teeth into his back and threw him towards the other battling lions. The bite wound wasn't deep but it still hurt a lot and is bleeding a lot 

After hearing Kion yell in pain both Surak and Nirmala were momentarily distracted from their fight and were both knocked back 

The red maned male moved forwards towards kions struggling figure 

He brought his paw up, claws out, ready to end it, but was knocked back before he could attack 

The red maned male looked to see who dared attack him and was shocked at who he saw 

Nala: Simba, that is enough

Both lions stared at each other in silence

finally got chapter one out
