Master was in a happy mood this morning, he didn't stare at me and just went out to get something.

He came in with Sanguis holding thin rectangular boxes. I heard Sanguis say that Lily was in Nerii's room.

Although I wished I could meet her but if she's happy, I'm fine with her staying at Nerii's.

I heard a loud bang and flattened my ears, spooked.

"Sanguis, you scared her. She's probably not used to loud noises yet." Master said.

I saw the rectangular box broken and some things spilled out.

A hat, some candy.

"Your Highness, does Blue eat candy?" Sanguis asked.

I looked up.

I heard that candy tasted really good but never had them before.

"Not too much." Master said and Sanguis put his head through the small gap of the bars.

I grabbed it and unwrapped the thing around it.

I put it in my mouth and I gave gasp of joy.

It was as good as I thought it was.

I smiled and gave a chirp of happiness.

"She likes it!" Sanguis exclaimed.Master just nodded and fingered with his rectangular box.

"Anyway, I have to go now, I haven't wrapped Lily's present yet!" Sanguis said and went away.

Master nodded and when the door closed he went over to my cage and placed the rectangular box on the outside of my cage.

"This is a cracker. I packed something in it for you." he said slowly.

"Is today a special day, Master?" I asked while figuring how to get that cracker open.

"Today is Christmas." he said.

I pulled the cracker sides and it exploded.

I gave a yelp and hit my cat tree.

Master laughed "You really are adorable.".

I saw a fox plush rolling out of the cracker.

I grabbed it and bowed my head.

"Thank you, Master." I said.

"What is Christmas for?" I asked

"It's...a time for family reunion."he said quietly.

I knew the family he was in wasn't his real one.

Christmas must be hard for him.

I had no family too.

We were kindred spirits.

"Oh...Family..."I muttered.

Master's eyes looked away for a second.

His eyes flickered with sadness.

Although he was the reason my parents were dead but-

"We could spend this Christmas together, as family." I said, surprising myself.

"You are a hybrid. We are no family." he frowned.

"A-Alright then." I said and went back in my cat tree hole.

"But we could spend Christmas together, if I keep you on leash." he suggested.

I nodded my head and we went on to the car, of to the Christmas market.
