I could hear the howls and shrieks.

Sanguis just peeked out of the room and said that the Hybad had crashed through the main door.

Me and Lily huddled up.

I wasn't sure if the Hybad saw us as an enemy or a friend.

"So are you going to kill us or take us hostage?" Lily said rather rudely.

"K-Kill you? Of course not! The Hybad might not even see you as friends. Nope, no killing." Sanguis said and Lily rolled her eyes.

"We are hybrids too, why should't they be on our side?" she asked.

"Ah, but you were raised by us, wouldn't you have the same views as us?" Sanguis said.

Lily opened her mouth but before she could say anything, Master crashed in.

"M-More than millions. Idris and Father is holding them with the troops. A-All other princes have escaped and deserted." he said and Sanguis frantically went to hold him up.

He had a slight scar on his face.

"We have to leave now. No excuses." Master said and pulled my leash making me follow him.

I gave a whine of pain.

"W-What about Princess Nerii?" I asked and he gave a frown.

"Escaped. When she first heard the news she took off with that serpent hybrid of hers." he said, disgusted.

Lily and Sanguis trailed behind us as we made our way to the back door.

There was already a car waiting for us.

We drove further and further till I could not recognise the landscape of the hills and nature.

"Your Highness, some hybrids are following us!" Sanguis warned.

Master commanded the car to stop and they grabbed sharp pointy things to face the hybrids.

It was called a spear, I think.

Me and Lily watched through the back car window as Master and Sanguis pierced the hearts of our kind.

I saw a few foxes that had blue fur like me.

When Master killed them, I saw his hand falter a little.

I heard him mutter a small sorry.

We drove on, into a forest.

It smelled really familiar.

The demons set up big tents.

"Where will it sleep, my prince?" the car driver asked, pointing at me.

Master looked at me and said "You would probably escape if I tied you outside right?"

I shook my head.

"Velo, put her in my tent." he said and carried me in.

I looked at Lily but she didn't look back.

She was absentmindedly poking the spears while Sanguis set up his own.

That night, Master brought in some cod that Sanguis, Velo and him caught in the lake.

He cooked it and laid it in front of me.

I ate it cautiously, avoiding his gaze.

After finishing he pushed me down and bit my neck.

I gave a small scream as he drank my blood hungrily.
